Cavs Media Day (Friday, Sep. 26)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I swear to God. I don't care if any of you aren't religious at all. Start saying prayers, put crucifixions under your pillow at night. Pray no serious injuries. Hell, none period.

I rather get swallowed by a whale, than for this season to go awry.

I'm guessing you missed all of FIBA basketball?...

The one thing I took away from media day? Waiters has a pretty unique sense of humor, he seems to just be real and I kind of like that. It's refreshing lol.

When people are or act "real" it does not go over well sometimes... I would know. However, with this team and the stars around him he will be seen as the guy the player we relate with. In a perfect world he could be our fourth star and more. This kid and how LeBron handles him will be the off topic story of the season for me.

Well, Dion has been consistent with the way he is. And yes, it does come off wrong to some people. He has a subtle sense of humor. But I've always liked Waiters, but I do get why people always assumed that he has a chip on his shoulder.

He would not be in the photo op's that LeBron used to take... I don't think. Those were good memories, but I get what the task is now. I appreciate this new mature LeBron. But that double wide headband can go.

Heat fans are in denial. But thats ok, they'll get a reality check soon enough.

I wonder what MSB and Jodie Valade did yesterday..

Oh, wait:

:chuckle:

Why don't you think Rose will stay healthy though? His past injuries weren't connected in any way if I'm remembering correctly and before he initially tore his ACL he was a pretty durable player.

Apart from Derrick Rose I don't think the Bulls have any other injury prone players. If healthy, specifically talking about D Rose, I see that team as being elite and I have no reason to assume that Rose will get hurt again.

He didn't look all that healthy to me during the FIBA games. Explosiveness just wasn't there. Timing is all sorts of off. I think he can regain some of his timing etc, but his freakish athleticism has already been hampered a bit. I don't see him regaining it. The Bulls have always been set up around his scoring, and I think that ability has faded. He can't singlehandedly carry a team offense anymore. Adding an aging Gasol and McBuckets isn't going to change that. Especially not with Thibs still running the show and running every player into the ground.

Where Rose looked like shit 95% of the time? I'm not saying he won't have time to improve before the season starts, but you referring to the World Cup as something positive about Rose is baffling.

He looked like shit but other posters were doubting he'd ever be healthy again. The Derrick Rose I watched in FIBA play looked healthy. His body wasn't holding him back or anything. He just looked rusty from a basketball skills standpoint which is expected when you're away from the game for nearly 2 years.

To each their own but from my perspective he looked plenty healthy. Explosiveness was apparent on many plays he made in Spain. Like you said though the timing his timing was off but that's expected from a guy who's been out as long as he has...I think as he plays more games he'll get it back. I don't really see any reason why he can't get back to scoring around 20 ppg and lead the Bulls to a top 3 seed (at least) in the East.

Time for a throw back (LOL):

What's strange was the beginning where the interviewer says "I've been looking forward to this all day - these other guys I've been talking to are like 19-20 years old, they've got no life experience". To think this was exactly a year ago. You could've had me fooled that this was a simultaneous cast on a parallel, extra-terrestrial Cleveland universe. Kind of like a "Ying & Yang" thing...
