Cavs sign Kevin Jones

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Cavs sign Kevin Jones (and waive Harangody)

Its hard work to find these gems, but if Jones can be a bench guy that is as good as Alonzo Gee than our team will be in pretty good shape in regards to trade assets and players who can actually play.

The growing popularity for teams to draft and stash Europeans means there should be some good talent that should go in the 2nd round that is bound to be overlooked.

Seems like a good dude. Went hard and hustled with the PT he got. You could definitely tell he had some rookie jitters.

First NBA game, not gonna front I was a little nervous but I'm glad it happened I am gonna continue to work to get better

Re: Cavs sign Kevin Jones (and waive Harangody)

Seemed like he was consistently active. He did seem to set the pick and jump off very quickly. He was thinking way too much instead of playing fluidly. Obviously it was his first NBA game but he does have a lot of energy. He seems like the type of player Scott likes.

Re: Cavs sign Kevin Jones (and waive Harangody)

I just hope he gets consistent minutes even if it is only 10-12 a game.

I think he can be a Leon Powe type player with healthier knees.

missed the game, saw the box score and noticed he got some playing time...do we have another D-League steal on our hands?

How would it be a d league steal. we signed the guy right after the draft.

And cut him before the season and sent him to D-league.....

yeah to the team they owned. he spent summer league and part of training camp injured. you dont think there was a nod and wink. that went along with what was essentially a nice bonus

Kevin should get his chance just like everyone else off the bench within a few weeks. I don't see him getting a lot of time in these next batch of games coming up though due to a lack of practice.

I'm interested to see if he can settle down and create a spot for himself. (something Samardo was never able to do) I think Samardo is the kind of player who can do well when he starts. Bench-wise he has no clue on the flow of the game. Kevin Jones's game seems more applicable to a bench role with energy and hustle being his main focus.

The odds of finding that "needle in the haystack" are extremely low, but you've got no chance if you don't look. *shrugs*

Only one game live. Other two via game streams on YouTube.

BTW next game you go to let me know and I'll see about getting your tickets upgraded.

Props to Ben for being a man of his word. Had a great time with floor seats and access to the VIP lounge. Another reason why this website is simply the best!

They have cheerleaders at the Charge game  I'm going now.

If you haven't gone to a Charge game its a real blast. Not a bad seat in the house and you get a great show for a quarter of the price of a Cavs game. Thanks for posting those pictures!
