Cavs Summer League (starts July 10)

Lol, I remember the last few summers the SL was the closest we were getting to field an elite team compared to the competition. And even then it didn't happen... Really makes you realize how amazing it is that we are where we are now.

I believe Christmas makes the roster, and ofcourse Harris, all the others, no way, including Pointer

He's been the Cavs video coordinator for a few years after working with the Spurs.

The Cavs must have sent him out as the coach/rep to talk with Allie Clifton at least 15 times at halftime this past year.

He was a video coordinator and then some type of coach for the Spurs. He's been an assistant coach for us for 2 seasons now. Good dude.

3 players I want to focus on is Harris RK and the PG we signed to a partiall deal to already come to camp. Joe Harris needs to show that he can react quicker and create some space for his shot. My concern with Harris is he just looks slow of foot vs NBA guys. He needs to look good vs this lower tier of talent.

Yes, I agree about Harris. He needs to be a level or two above these guys and dominate.
It will be interesting to see how Sykes does, since he came about out of nowhere and looks super quick and athletic, but he needs to be really good to get a roster spot in a Cavs team that has 3 established PGs.

Unlike RK and SirDominik Sykes has actually signed and is scheduled to be in camp. His deal is not gaurenteed, but as far as I know him and Harris are the only guys we have actually inked to a contract on the summer team.

So, Quinn Cook, who is part of our Summer League team, just played 38 minutes in a 2 OT game for OKC in Orlando this morning...is this dude really about to fly across the country and play another game? I get wanting to open as many eyes as possible as an undrafted guy...but damn.

He hasn't practiced, so I would say the same...just an interesting dynamic to having multiple summer leagues.

I want to see a couple of these kids. Christmas, that athletic little PG and Lacey. Living in Raleigh and picking up some friends who are NC State fans along the way has made me aware of Lacey. They claim he can shoot from anywhere on the court.
