Upshaw is nice project. Lakers look like they got a couple of players on their summer league team.

I see a lot of young Zach Randolph in Julius Randle. He has to get a better touch on his release though. At times it looks like he's moving too fast.

I think Upshaw could be the next Whiteside. Not right away, but he can be a rim protector right away. I'd sign him to take the place of Perkins or Haywood on our roster.

But I got faith in Rakeem so we will see how he does first tonight. We will probably need one more big on this team that can produce though.

3 players I want to focus on is Harris RK and the PG we signed to a partiall deal to already come to camp. Joe Harris needs to show that he can react quicker and create some space for his shot. My concern with Harris is he just looks slow of foot vs NBA guys. He needs to look good vs this lower tier of talent.

I wouldn't be surprised if Harris doesn't impress. He's not the the kind of ball-centric/create your own shot type that does well in these things. More of a guy who is best in a team/structured setting.

I'm so happy that we can watch any form of Cavalier basketball today. Just the fact that we get to watch live wine and golders out there tonight helps to bridge the gap between last season and the season upcoming. Should be a bit of fun, bringing us one step closer to tip-off for season 2015/2016.

Stats aside, Towns and Russell were both extremely impressive in their debuts. As a slight OSU fan, which also makes me a fan of Russell, I hope D'Angelo doesn't get shut out by Kobe's chucking ways. With the right development, I see him becoming a reincarnation of a healthy Brandon Roy.
