Cavs Summer League (starts July 10)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I have literally said "this is only one game and I hope he improves" on 90% of my posts in this thread.

Also - Like I said, he still wasn't anywhere good enough in the second game too.
As opposed to figuratively making this statement? A handful of games in summer league is not enough to completely write someone off or say someone will be awesome. He moves well, his length has bothered players, and he is struggling at the moment to guard the pick and roll. This is pretty much par for the course of what was expected coming in.

I looked at the box score, Xmas had 11 rebounds and only took 1 shot from the field. :conf (8):

Just finished watching the game on DVR - Sir Dom is showing something fellas. He has NBA athleticism as a finisher around the hoop, surprisingly explosive off the dribble. He also plays very under control for a slasher.

It's summer league but what Sir Dom has with that quickness and agility you can't teach.

I see why Griff took a flyer on him.

That was the most bizarre comeback I've ever seen. We were down 21 points with 5:17 to go. And then we were down 7 with 24 seconds to go.

How the hell did we win that game? Those aren't supposed to be deficits that you can overcome. Milwaukee just pulled off the biggest choke I've ever seen.

He's not a wing player. He's a point guard.

Curry, Kyrie, and Paul are living proof that you don't need to be an elite athlete to be a stud point guard.

I'm not convinced that he's a true point. He may likely be a fake tall point guard like Evan Turner. 5/3 Assist to Turnover rate isn't very good.

He also lacks the speed and quickness that Kyrie and Paul have.

So in response to the posters who basically opined for the first two games that our rookies and Harris sucked....never mind?

Not like Christmas was great today.

But I keep seeing a guy who attacks the rim athletically and bothers shots on defense. He may not make this roster, but he'll make someone's roster.

Watched the game, coundn't believe we came back, that was crazy. Not really surprised though, the boys played in the Cavs jersey... :) The league should fear by now the Cavs never give up attitude.

Well if he doesn't make the Cavs, the 76ers have yet to meet their quota of 15 bigs. So I could see him in Philly.

Was that the last game for Summer League for the Cavs, or are they playing one more game?

They need to seed the all important Summer League Playoffs, which the Cavaliers will lose in round one. At that point I won't be forced to watch selfish invitee guards who refuse to pass to the rostered Cavaliers players anymore. So far, my favorite moment of Summer League was Rakeem Christmas harassing his own point guard Kiefer Sykes all the way up the floor, followed by a Brielmeyer time out.

I wonder, and correct me if I'm misguided, if Joe Harris isn't trying to go AAU out there (what keys describes above). I haven't been around to watch (except for the first game). Shouldn't Summer League be the time to test things he's been trying to learn/assimilating into a role he'd fill on the Cavs? I know he's been shitty in the first three games, but how sure are we that he's not intentionally working on things that help him, but not the SL team's success?
