Cavs Ticket Questions, Policies, and STH Concerns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well this is weird....just tried buying tickets to the Pacers game at Xavier by using the Cavs presale and it said "No tickets available." I logged in right at 10am. Whomp whomp....

I gave the fuck up on buying tickets, They sold out the Toyota Center pretty damned quick.....$200+ for nose bleeds at that.

Well not 5 minutes after I posted that I hadn't been called I got my call. Here's what I was told. They have limited 5 game partials left for sections 220, 231, 203, 211.

Games included in the plan:
Magic
Wolves
Jazz
Lakers
Suns

Couldn't guarantee any playoff priority, but said it's "possible".

I ultimately turned it down and have decided that I will take a shot at single game tickets for games that I want to go to. I know it will be tough to get tickets, but the games they offered really aren't too appealing.

That doesn;t sound horrible. I know the sections suck. How much where the tickets?

thought id be sneaky and buy Pistons tickets for when they play the cavs, $66 for nose bleed seats lol

I got two tickets to the Xavier game, good seats. Must have been lucky!

Just grabbed 4 seats in section 103 for the Minnesota game on 12/23. Going to be a great game!

Okay I got my package today. I called my contact yesterday afternoon and he said he would have someone call me today. Well they called. They had two options, 4 seats for 5 games or 2 seats for ten games. Since I was splitting a package with a buddy and would get 5 games either way we went with the 5 game/4 Seat option. That way we can go together and each take someone with us.

The seats are terrible. Section 224 Row 14, at least it's on the sideline. The good thing is by buying this year, we are guaranteed tickets next year. At that time we can upgrade location and or buy a bigger package.

The plans they have are pretty good. We got the Pacers, Raptors, Rockets, Clippers (TNT) and Nets. Not bad.

Opening night and single game seats. He said a lot of the single game tickets will go to the public. Only a small portion will go to W&G members. It will be lottery style. In September you fill out a form on cavs.com for a chance to buy. He said this will keep the tickets out of the brokers hands and stop them from selling tickets for astronomical amounts. Basically they want to make sure fans get tickets.

Playoffs, he wasn't sure if they were doing the playoffs lottery style or not. A lot of moving parts still, they want to be as fair as possible, while allowing the public to have a chance as well.

They still have 5 game packages. I'd call them up with you're interested, but you have to be on the list.

I'd suggest taking everything that you were told with a grain of salt. A lot of the things that were said to me when I bought have changed because of all the events that took place and I bought 5 weeks before Lebron came back. Also keep in mind that you can only upgrade your seats if people choose to not renew their current seats because they don't boot people who already pay for packages. I'm glad you got some tickets that you're ok with because I think its great that we can all go and see this history but like I said I'd not assume anything because at the end of the day they are still salesmen.

Lunchbox. I hear ya. I'm happy I'm going. I do wish we had better seats though. I like the fact that we can at least renew our seats next year. I realize someone has to not renew for us to upgrade. But I'm someone will default on their payment plan! Or maybe the Cavs will now be like the Packers and Red Sox of basketball. Unless someone dies no one is getting seats.

I hope everything works out for you. I know I'm planning on renewing mine for next year and upgrading to a full season from a half if I can.

I know. I tried to buy tickets as well. There was a presale for Xavier season ticket holders that started at 9am, so I am assuming they bought the lot of them. I was pretty surprised... And upset.

Exactly, what my rep told me. I did the 5 game as well and ended up in section 204, row 11. I took the A2 package cause I wanted the Heat's first game back in Cleveland. September 23rd I think is the day he told me about signing up for the raffle on Cavs.com but don't quote me.

The raffle idea is great. I knew they were working on something like that. My rep hinted at it the other week but didn't have details yet.

When did you guys put down your deposits. I put down mine 7/14 and haven't gotten a callback

Might want to call them. My dad and I put one down a couple of hours after LeBron announced he was coming back, we somehow got a 10 game package plan. I didn't think we would get one, but we did.
