Cavs Ticket Questions, Policies, and STH Concerns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
$218 worth it for section 200? Been debating for a few days if that much for a single game is really worth it. Watching the preseason game really made me debate if the home opener will actually be all it has been built up to be. I get it, it's one of the biggest nights in Cleveland sports history but after that night is over there's many many years to come.. would I be a moron to spend $218 on a ticket?

I spent $300 per ticket for the 1st row in section 110 vs Sacramento - pretty much almost court side. Given I'm from another country and this is more or less a once in a lifetime experience for me, I think you'd be crazy not to spend $218 to experience arguably one of the most historic moments in Cleveland sports history.

Is that after all the fees? Trust me, the BUY NOW price on flash seats is far from what you will actually end up paying.

That's why I prefer StubHub. Prices are all inclusive on the main screen - no tricks, no added fees.

That's the pro/cons to flash seats. For a seller it is nice as you pay little to no fees, but the buyer is hit with huge fees. I understand you get 100% legit tickets, but part of me does think it is a rotten thing to do to fans. Flash seats takes almost zero risk and gets over 24% for making a transaction. I miss the days of getting hard tickets to games.

The biggest miss is getting to be able to show up to a game on a week night and find someone selling tickets cheap after the game is started. In college I remember being able to walk around the stadium around 7:30 and getting tickets to the upper deck for 5-6 bucks.

What makes you think the prices are going to rise next week? You've said that a few times but I don't see it happening, I actually see them coming down a bit since there are about 800 tickets for sale on Flash Seats.

That price isn't bad at all, but I really don't like sitting in section 200. I had to sit there a few times for a couple playoff games against the Wizards and Celtics (one of the last rows mind you). The atmosphere is incredible, but I couldn't stand the view up there. Since I got those seats the day of the game (this was before Flash Seats, when Ticketmaster always released a handful the morning of) I couldn't really complain since they're the cheapest in the arena, but it'd be hard for me to justify spending over $200 on them. That's just my opinion though, and I don't want to dissuade any true fan of being at that game. I dropped shy of $275 for my opening night tickets which are pretty damn good seats, but my wife is rather pissed off getting the credit card bill this morning heh.

What don't you like about 200 if you don't mind me asking? I have 216 row 6, so I'm hoping my view isn't going to suck.

My reasoning behind this is the fact All the tickets for the opener are now Sold by the Cavaliers.....now those hoping to get in Via the lottery are stuck ONLY being able to get in by Flashseats.....Many and I mean Many others don't even know about the lottery and will pay the $$$ regardless. Especially since this is hyped to be the biggest thing in CLE in a LONG time....as of now there are like 2400 tix on flashseats...starting next week that number is going to continue to decrease and demand will rise the closer to the 30th......right now is time to buy if you want in at a reasonable price.

My season tickets are sec 200 row 3......I personally like the seats....what's not to love at 12 bucks each. ..haha.......either way though I have sat floor seats plenty of times and I still like the uppers better and you can definitely see plays open up and develop

I won the second round of lottery drawings. Anyone know the pricing for the 200 level on Saturday nights?

Congrats! Not sure at all, but I would go ahead and buy either way :)

Well I was selected for the first lottery yesterday. I was driving back from the Browns/Titans game. I pulled over at noon to buy tickets. I'm not able to go to the opener, it's my son's 7th birthday and trick or treat that night. Although he loves watching the Cavs with his Dad, the candy edged me out. But my friend was begging me to get the tickets to the opener for him. When my link became active I picked 10/30, 3 seats, best available. I think section 113 came up, grand total $900. He didn't want to pay that much. So I canceled those tickets and tried a cheaper section, no luck. At that point I moved on to the Spurs game. I got 4 tickets in section 224, $180 after taxes. I'm happy.

I'm going to the Spurs game too as part of my 10 game plan, here's to hoping Pop doesn't rest all of his starters like he did last year against the Heat :)

The crowds in the upper deck are always much better I've found, so I rarely pass up any opportunity to go up to a Cavs game even if I don't like tickets. But I was up in 200 (or 217) during the Cavs-Boston game when LeBron had the vicious dunk on KG. My view was completely skewed of it, I just went with the reaction of the rest of the crowd. It wasn't until I saw the highlights did I realize how incredible of a play it was, and I always was pretty bitter about getting those seats since. Again, the people around me were a blast and the buzz in the crowd was electric - but since then I've always decided to pony up the extra cash for a better angle. If I won the lottery, got a chance for opening night tickets, and those were the only ones that came up - would I buy them? Without hesitation, yes absolutely. Would I drop over $200 for them? Ehhh, me personally no.
