Cavs Ticket Questions, Policies, and STH Concerns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Whoever is going should suggest another pre-sale for those who got unlucky for the home opener. That is if they are taking suggestions.
Wouldn't they be sold out of tickets for that game by now?

Being at last night's game at OSU was fantastic. The Schott is a terrible arena and even with sitting in one of the top rows, the excitement and energy was buzzing. I can't even imagine what next Thursday is going to be like.

Why do you say the Schott is a "terrible" arena?

Bingo!

I saw people pay 5 to 6 k for the opener on the 1st day or so on Flash Seats. The market doesnt want to pay a ridiculous amount of money for 1 regular season game. Yea it is lebrons return, but you can go to the Pelicans game and for a majority of the people there it is their 1st time seeing lebron in a cavs uniform this season. Every night will be an event this season.

I spent 310 on lower bowl seats for the Pelicans game. That price tag would be two behind the basket loudville seats for the opener.

I've looked at flash seats since they were allowed to list and did not see the $5k or $6k purchases you referred to. In fact, the only large dollar purchase (aside from the $2k someting for some lower bowl seats) is a $10k purchase per ticket (20k total) for two floor seats next to the visitors bench (I believe they are the Jack Nicholson seats). Thus, I've yet to see a run on large sales, but think we will start to see it during the final week.

I should probably clarify, it's a terrible college arena for Buckeye games. The crowd is so far away from the court, doesn't have that college feel. It's a little more relate-able to a pro arena, but still, the place holds 18,000 versus 20,000 at the Q and the seats at the top are further away than the Q. The whole arena is just spaced out too much, IMO.

Sorry, I didn't realize the total items listed at the top of flashseats was number of listings not seats. There is over 15% of the stadium for sale. Prices will take a nosedive to around $120 very soon.

How do you know the items listed on top of flash seats is referring to listings, not seats? Do you have a link?

I still believe it's a false inventory. I don't believe there are as many sellers wanting or needing to sell as there are those trying to see if they can get a certain price where they would be willing to sell, but would gladly go to this historic game. At the same time, I believe there is a secret demand, i.e., those who want very badly to go but are holding off believing the price will drop as the game nears (which worked in the past, but may not this year). If this is the case, as sellers become more resolved in going to the game and making plans, the would be buyers may have to pay more than they thought or simply not go to the game.

I still do believe there are, of course, many who need or want to sell, and will take a lower price. This in turn will cause buyers to think the market is crashing, but, again, this game is an aberration. I still do not see a lot of dropping of prices for premium seats.

This will be interesting to watch as time goes on. I think, eventually, buyers will be paying more for premium seats than they want to pay and less for upper deck seats than sellers want to sell for. I think the most movement you will see will be in the upper deck, less so in the premium seats in the lower bowl and to the side of the court.

Got my membership package yesterday. Said one of the perks is "Members Only" entrances at the Q. Anyone know what that's all about? Is it just a separate line to get in? Or is there another door? Some restricted area?

Interesting. I went to an early season Buckeye game against another Ohio foe years ago there, and what I noticed was how quiet the crowd was. This was when the Buckeyes were a contender for a national championship. There was a smattering of claps here and there, and sometimes more, but nothing like the Q or horeshoe gets. We sat pretty high up, and I did feel removed from the game, but I feel the same way when I say high at the Q. I can't speak for the lower seats, though. Perhaps it is different for key games, i.e., versus michigan state of michigan.

Although the arena is new and "pro-like", there is not the "feel" and charm of good old saint john's arena.

I was wondering the same thing. No idea if it's legit or just one of those perks that don't really mean anything.

Prices just keep on coming down. I am seeing tickets selling for as low as $150. Flashseats even has a listing sold at $100 and $130.

Sellers really only have 7 days left to sell. We will see a huge price decrease coming up Sunday night and Monday morning. And again probably Tuesday.

Yea I wish I had not won the lottery, would have been better off buying through Flash Seats for the opener

Sales fall off after a couple of days. You don't get to see the total amount of tickets that have sold. I can confirm that there were some huge sales prices early on in the process. There are far more tickets that have actually sold then you see show up on the site if you look at it right now. Of course that also means that a lot of people who want tickets have already bought, but I still think its safe to expect a spike in sales within the next couple of days.

Count me in the club that also wishes he hadn't won the lottery and just bought seats off of FlashSeats. I could have got the same $300 seats I bought for significantly less.

Out of curiosity, where are your seats and how much did you pay? Be interesting to start comparing FlashSeat sale prices to the lottery.

My seats are row 28 C110. I paid $120/game for a 10 game plan.
