Warriors have the most stacked team ever by a significant margin. It'll take an even bigger miracle to beat them.
Their spacing was already best ever, now? Holly fuck. I hate this team of spilt beats so much. Fuck KD. And fuck ZaZa for signing for peanuts.

Hope he breaks his foot again.

edit - spilt beats = spoilt brats..

Offensively, they'll be better. Durant has a legit mid-range game and iso game, and this will help them in the playoffs when the play slows down. Also, think of all those shots that Barnes was bricking. Durant will be taking those shots now. There's no doubt that they'll be better on offense.

But will that improvement make up for what they lose in defense and rebounding? In the playoffs? I don't think it will.

If durant plays like he did on d in the wcfs the Warriors will get significantly better defensively too. No reason why he can't with a much smaller role needed on offense.

Our best shot was them not having depth but looks like guys are gonna flock there.

I am not against the trading of Kevin Love, but the question is who can we realistically get that will help us upgrade ? I was expecting some veteran NBA ring chasers to join us but even that has not happened. It makes me want to think that winning a championship too has not made us so attractive to FAs

Also, Given the current NBA climate, Kevin Love's contract is not so bad and we could easily offload him if we so desired. The bigger problem is who can we get that will be a step up ? Do not just think finals but the whole playoffs. Indy has become dangerous, Celtics have improved, NY has improved, Orlando has improved, Atlanta have moved sideways. I mean we still have a lot to think about. What will help us most is for us to retain our championship winning core and gel together and better.

Kevin Love's display in the finals were very poor. I don't believe that this is how Kevin Love will always be with us - He was so bad that he has nowhere lower to go. If anything I feel Lue will be smart enough to help Kevin get better ( Maybe not Minnesota levels but if he can then we dont have to worry about Durant's move that much ) and realistically I feel that is the only thing we can do. We need to hope that our quieter stars can step up this year.

We can turn Shump upside down and sweep these fuckers off the floor next year and watch the blame game begin.

I'm ready for LeBron to beat this super, mega, next level bullshit team and become the greatest ever.

Slide on down Jordan. The kid from Akron is coming.

Warriors Paranoia is a real thing. And I'll be honest I thought we were done with that after this year's finals and I thought that the monster had been vanquished. Looks like I was wrong though. Theyre just getting warmed up.

I would argue the Warriors have Lebron/Kyrie paranoia. Why else would they do something this desperate after winning 73 games?

Just put a 35 on that GS jersey for next year...

The NBA has to hate this. It will be interesting to see if there are attempts in the next CBA to further prevent super teams.

Does everyone realize the heart this team has...I saw a team that gave their lives to win a championship...I saw GS lose their cool when times got tough...I expect this to make our resolve even greater...GS has never worked for anything...theirs is always the easy path and it remains so...now they may out talent many teams but they will never have more heart and determination than the Cavaliers

I mean...anybody would go after a player of Durants caliber in FA if they had the means to do so. Im sure the Cavs would have if they did.

If you wanna pretend this isnt a desperation move, that's fine. They got Durant because they could? Fine, that's the narrative you'll hear from Jerry West, Steve Kerr, Steph Curry and the rest of them, I'm sure.

Fact remains, they're rebooting a team that won 73 games, core may be intact but the role players who came up so huge for them all season are going to be gone. And there's no guarantee they'll be any better than they were last year, and depending on how the chemistry plays out, could end up worse.

That's a risk you take, for sure, but a risk nonetheless. If they really believed they were better than the Cavs, why take any risk at all? Why not bring back the team you KNEW was better?

Its absolutely a risk...a risk any team would take. Remember, they didnt win the finals. They saw an opportunity to improve their team, at least in their own minds. I doubt theyre foaming at the mouth and cowering in fear of the Cavs. :chuckle:

What's funny is if we had like 25-28 year old LBJ I would still favor us over their super team.

Just when we thought LeBron slayed the beast that was a the 73-9 Warriors, they go ahead and add the second best player in the league...

Durant ripped LeBron 6 years ago about chasing rings and now he does the same thing. Two face bitch is my new name for Durant.

Our offense won't change against them with Durant playing the 3 or 4. We will go after Curry every chance we get.

But defensively we will have problems matching up and there is not any SF coming to town that could help us. I wouldn't even try to match up with them I would go the opposite. I would send Love for Cousins. I don't think the Kings would do it but maybe a phone call from LeBron telling Cousins to do what he has to do to make it happen. Cousins has burnt enough bridges over there that he could pull it off.

My 2nd dream would be Wade signing with us. Maybe LeBron takes a pay cut to get his friend here.

What a series that would make:

Irving vs Curry
Wade vs Thompson
LeBron vs 2 face bitch
Thompson vs nut kicker
Cousins vs Padulla or who ever
