To me, there are only a few scenarios that can happen between now and the start of the season to make me feel prepared for Golden State from a matchup standpoint. All of them are unlikely.

1) By the grace of God, Wade takes the TPMLE to come here and restore all that is good in the world at the side of his brother, Bron.

2) We are able to turn a package centered around Shumpert into Rudy Gay. The Kings seem to want rid of him.

3) Jimmy Butler and Fred Hoiberg clash. He wants out. They still want to be competitive right now. They take a very valuable player in Love, who is locked up on a bargain deal, just like Butler. He fits the Bulls' offense perfectly, it's just a question of what else it may take. Butler is the perfect fit as a 6'7 defensive monster who can handle the ball.

4) We take a gamble and deal Kevin Love for Russell Westbrook. He's gone in OKC. He also could ditch us. It's worth it for a top 5 player in the league. He can play the two for us. Another uber athlete and defensive monster. Before you say no way for OKC, they can't reset. They must remain competitive to keep the team in OKC and Love is a locked up all-star.

These are all dream scenarios for me, but it doesn't mean I don't pray for them before I go to bed tonight.

Don't really want to get into the paranoia about whether or not we can beat GWS in next years final whilst I am still celebrating this years Final. Two points about the KD trade however: firstly, it is funny reading the OKC analysis which is now saying that Dion is a must keep...that team is really fucked...
Secondly, as has been mentioned elsewhere here, I think it is time to move Kevin...for a wing and take that $23 mill off our books and keep the spare money to match Delly's sheet

He only signed for 1 year and the 2nd is a player option. Not much of a long term committment. Cavs will waste those schmucks.

match Delly's sheet??? WTF he couldn't play in the finals and you want to keep him over Love.

Butler would be nice. Wade signing some offer would be great. Those 2 probably wont happen.

But Cousins could. Sacramento has 2 centers and just drafted another. Cousins just needs to go crazy on Divac. LOL

Amazes me people want a head case like Cousins...he is the immature dude i have ever seen..he has no composure...he is talented but he would worry me

So Durant signs what is essentially a 1 year deal and the Warriors replace almost their entire bench unit? Sounds interesting enough for the Cavs to be licking their lips over it.

Good on the Warriors for signing Durant. Good on them for admitting that they couldn't beat a healthy Cleveland Cavaliers team with LeBron being LeBron (stealing a Finals 4-2 sans Kyrie and Love etc. and then not getting the job done this season).

Good on the Warriors for turning the NBA landscape upside-down and going from the darlings of the league to the villains of the NBA universe.

Good on the Warriors for giving a potentially complacent Cleveland team a reason to be extra motivated for this coming season. They overcame all the odds and won the championship, and now everyone has the Warriors a lock for the 2017 championship.

But most of all, good on the Warriors for giving LeBron James the only other unthinkable feat to accomplish, other than breaking a 52 year curse in his home city against a seemingly invincible team: bringing down a former 73-9 team that adds another former MVP and top 3 player in the league to their squad. To think, I thought LeBron had just about ran out of records and goals to destroy. The Warriors just offered him the opportunity on a silver platter to become the greatest player of all time.

Good on you, Warriors.

Sure am glad the Cavs won the last NBA Finals before the league went off the deep end.

I mean, does anyone really CARE if the Warriors win 70 games and a championship next year? It's thoroughly uninteresting to anyone outside of the Bay Area. What's the NARRATIVE? Stacked team overcomes no adversity to win title?

Nobody's overachieving anymore. If the Warriors dominate through the regular season and the playoff, people will start to lose interest.

People will be interested in the warriors, but it'll be the same brand of idiot we've all encountered.

Dude's who could give two shits about being life long fans of a particular team, or any of that shit.

People that are just in it to crow the loudest, wear the shoes, and buy a new jersey every week.

You know...morons.

These are the people that make up "first take's" demo and who ESPN really caters to now.

This is a gut feeling and nothing more...

But I think the Cavs are going to find a way to get Wade.

This Delly thing just makes zero sense unless Griff is cooking some tasty shit in the kitchen we don't know about yet. Think about all the fucking money the Cavs made since winning the championship. They can afford the luxury taxes--easily--and still make shitloads of money. And, Gilbert just built a fucking money printing machine (Casino).

Dan Gilbert has too much pride to let those Warrior cunts out do him with this Durant shit. Things have been VERY quiet from LBJ and the Cavs front office given all the crazy moves--too quiet. I think Griff has one more magic fucking trick up his sleeve.

Griff fired the coach of a team in 3rd place and winning the East. This mother fucker has ice in his veins. He traded AV the same season we won a ship. I have no doubts he has things in motion to make this team better.

Can someine explain why he balled out last year in areas that don't see much inconsistency game to game or year to year but was unusable this year

Livingston ate his lunch the first game and so the Cavs needed to go with someone who had the length to bother him and still guard Curry or Thomspon (Shumpert). Kerr is a very good coach IMO despite him shitting the bed with Ezeli and he smells blood with those kind of mismatches

But without Livingston you could run delly Irving then combos of swish/shump, LeBron, love and tt..

With Livingston and barbs, I imagine rj and delly would work better than dick and shump because delly is quicker where shump is longer..

I'm not sure I get it.

Obviously andy was in to mentally fuck us and it worked in game one.
