Man, Boobie Gibson would fit on this team so well.

We had so many spot up shooters in the rebuild after LeBron first left. Now we don't have any. It kind of shows you need a balance roster to develop a point guard right. Kyrie had no one he had to defer to when he was a rookie and Sexton has no one to pass to for 3 pt shots. Kyrie had the ball in his hands way too much while I think Sexton has to defer to those around him way too often instead of setting up the offense.

I really wish we'd involve Cedi more with the offense when he's hot like tonight. It's amazing that he's scoring as well as he is now when he's spending the bulk of our possessions camped out in the corner.

I get scaling back Cedi's responsibilities somewhat due to his struggles but Drew went too far.

He's just getting comfortable.

Totally agree with you. The offense is just so poor, cedi would be better in a ball hopping offense . It feels like there are a lot of dead ends right now .

I'm really encouraged by Cedi. He has some really nice moves. I think once we get some spacing, he is going to look very good.

Both he and Collin have been met with 3 guys in the paint all the time .This team can't shoot.

I'd love to see him play games like this consistently with maybe 2 more assists. Very solid game. He and Larry are the line bright spots

It’s really hard to assist, when you don’t get the ball as a playmaker.

Cedi's offensive usage rate drops drastically in 2nd halves of the games. Does he purposely do this ? or his team mates are being selfish and just trying to improve their trade values..

It’s sad to see him on current Cavs team. He is a perfect role as a team player, and playing in a team that not having a game plan, must be really though for Cedi. Your main PG is a rookie, terrible as a playmaker for now. If you let the shooting guards to have the ball, they literally only shoots.

Hopefully, after the trade deadline, when the team starts to play more consistent, I believe his stats will drastically improve.

Nice game by Cedi yesterday but I'm still not as high on him as I once was. Other than ex Cav George Hill, Cedi is one of the players I'm most disappointed in. For Cedi it's like the stars have to align perfectly for him to be effective, or we have to be playing one of the other worst teams in the NBA. We always seem to have someone else to blame for his ineffectiveness. I don't think he'll ever be a decent shooter, he just doesn't have it. It wouldn't surprise me if he's out of the NBA within a few years and over in Europe or China playing. Hey, I hope I'm wrong and he balls out. He's one of us and I wish Cedi the best. Go ahead, let the disagrees flow.

For sure. Totally agree. I think he should handle the ball more. He always pushes. I'd like Larry to pass ahead to him. I hope we get Barret or Zion and play Cedi at the 2 in the future.

I'm more confident in Cedi becoming a pretty good player after this stretch. He is playing more within himself. I understabd why he was launching 3s . His 3 ball looked good in the summer shooting and there are so many open 3s on this team.

His 3 pt shooting appears to be a lot better when he gets to the hole and gets going. Maybe catch and shoot is his thing. Off the dribble is maybe a little optimistic right now.

I'd say his dribble is improved and he is protecting the ball better. This rough stretch has been good for him.

I think last season was a lost opportunity for Cedi. He probably would have been at this point if Lue played him 15 minutes a game. He would have had the vets around to help him along too.

I've always thought Cedi's potential trajectory to being a star would be similar to Jimmy Butler than anyone else. It would take him multiple season to get there and it would be a slow build up.

I still think if we want Cedi to continue to get better we should bring in vet players with aspects of his game that we want to improve with. Whatever his learning style is, I think it's one that he needs that example to be there day to day for him to absorb and figure out what to do. Richard Jefferson would have been money well spent to be Cedi's mentor this year.

Not a horrible game for Cedi tonight overall. His defense was good especially in the second, and while his three-point wasn't there tonight he continued his stretch of finishing inside well although there was one miss inside on a drive that looked like one his wild layup attempts during his streak of poor play. He also had a good rebounding game against a team with good bigs. I like to see him and Sexton developing chemistry on fast breaks

22-8-3 on only 12 shots, obviously the missed free throws at the end were not ideal but a very good game by Cedi. I just wish he was given more to do.

Cedi vs Atlanta

He had 36 minutes, 8/12 on shooting, 6/8 2p, 2/4 3p, 4/6 ft. In total having 22 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steal..

He had a faul problem..

He’ll be very good..

Cedi had a good night. I'll take it!!

Last 8 games 14.6 ppg 51% from the field,,,64% on 2 pointers..very encouraging,,
Hopefully he's got this thing figured out a bit,,and continues to improve...that's all I want to get out of this year is to see
Cedi/Sexton/Zizic continue to improve and be viable players going forward.
