Chris Sheridan "most likely to be traded" by Cavs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I hear you George, but there is not much to be had. If Chicago had a big to trade they would not be in the basement. There are a number of center heavy teams out there, notable the Clips (who I don't think are in the mood) and Seattle (who is certainly in the mood). We don't really need an offensive weapon, we just need a heavy duty defender with rebounding ability. (if anybody mentions Diop, Karmas head will explode) There are a couple of real wide bodies buried on benches, but I have no idea how they would pan out. Jake TSucka$$ down in Memphis, and that Korean kid in portland.

ive mentioned this before but I think a guy that would be a rwal nice fit here in cleveland would be Etan Thomas...not much to tell your mother about but he is solid defensively and he could be a deterrant in the lane that we need as well as being a good rebounder...Duhon and and Etan make this team a contender in my opinion (which by the way counts for nothing haha) im not sure what to do to be perfectly honest but thats why Danny Ferry is here, hopefully he will

I understand people wanting to be patient and let this team grow, but with many players we know what we have. Drew Gooden is a solid rebounder and occasionally a good scorer. But we all know he is rather weak defensively and poor court awareness particulary on D. Why do we be patient with him if we know all there is to him? I am not saying just trade him, just explore options if they arise. The power forward spot for us is a role playing position. We dont need a star, we want someone who rebounds, plays strong defense. Drew is and will always be half way there.

George, a poster on another board wrote that the Cavs have shown some interest in Etan Thomas. I wouldn't mind him but I don't like his contract. He signed a a deal worth about $36 million before last season. That's way too much for a backup of his caliber. The only way I do a deal to get him is if the Cavs can unload a bad contract of their own. Even then that's a lot of money to add to the cap.

There are some who claim that the Cavs are actively looking to make a trade. I prefer a trade for a PG but one for a backup C seems to be an easier one to possibly get done.

well my idea was to place him into the starting lineup in our 4 spot....He did sign a big deal but still it is only about 5 or 6 mil per year so its really not that bad...It is going to be less that what we will have to pay to keep drew here thats for sure...My perfect scenario would be to get a snow or damon and gooden trade that brings us back Duhon and Etan Thomas because that starting lineup would be pretty nice mix but it would be tough to swing thats for sure....I like Etan and his rebounding shot blocking and overall defensive ability and while his deal is large its really not too much to handle for our starting 4 spot.....what do I know though, nothing really haha

And Gooden isn't a much better player then he was last year? His shot selection is much better. His rotations are still poor on D but his on the ball defense has improved. Gooden is what 24 years old? I agree if the right deal came along then move him but come on Etan Thomas? Gooden is a mcuh better PF then Thomas.

If Drew is willing to take Udonis Haslem money then i think he is worth it. People forget that future pairing of AV who does play stronger defense then Gooden with Drew could make an excellent combo. We haven't seen them together much but an AV/Drew pairing would be dominant on the boards and provide a bunch of energy.

Etan Thomas is a hard body but a soft player. With his size and strength he should be a much better rebounder. Wrong answer.

i disagree...on our team Etan would be a nice fit...im not saying hes more talented than Drew but he may be a better fit...and i dont really agree with him being soft but again its only my humble opinion

Im not discounting Gooden, but if we can get a good PG out of him, then cya...

Id be more than happy to let Anderson play a ton of minutes and getting a PG that can run and create.

To me that would be Jason Terry. Anything less in quality and I'm not sure I would do it.

We have a mid level exception and the draft to get a PG to groom behind Snow/Jones
