I wouldn't be surprised that he is much better the second time around.

It's true that failing the first time doesn't guarantee that he'll fail the second time, but it certainly isn't any guarantee that he'll succeed, either. We'd be going with a guy who failed the first time, and *hoping* he'll be better the second time around. That's a hell of a risk for a franchise in our condition, and we'd be trusting the judgment of a front office that just blew its first HC selection badly. Assuming they were right to fire Chud, that is.

Also, the Buccaneers fired Greg Schiano and GM Mark Dominick today.

Current head coaching vacancies:

Browns
Texans
Vikings
Redskins
Buccaneers
Lions

EDIT: Add the Lions to the list after they gave Jim Schwartz his pink slip

Despite denials, keep hearing O'Brien will leave Penn St. for #Texans or a surprise #NFL team. Penn St. will be interested in Schiano.

The Lions have fired coach Jim Schwartz. He will get consideration in Cleveland

Believe it or not (IMO), despite the obvious indecisive/dictatorial reputation of the front office, the Browns (along with Houston) would seem to be the most enticing job on that list.

I'm basing that on the current roster (5 Pro Bowlers), financial flexibility ($X in cap room), and upcoming draft picks (10).

Ironically all those teams don't have a QB either(RGIII being a special case) Hmm..

Adam Gase was a recruiting coordinator under Nick Saban at LSU.

God, Jim Schwartz would be a fucking disaster.

I'd take Josh McDaniels in a nano-second over Schwartz. What a mess Schwartz ran in Detroit. That team has a QB, the best WR in the game and a competent running back plus a defensive line most teams couldn't dream of having and they were still awful under him. He led the most undisciplined team I can remember.

Terry Francona is such a nice guy, that Schwartz needs to come in and balance the Cleveland coaching image with his super-doucheness.

I'm starting to like BO'B

I think he's the type of personality and the type who can overcome adversity. He's also really, really, really good with young QBs.

On the off-chance he is hired... His nickname is OB. Not BO'B. My former fellow classmates made that dumb shit up. Its OB. He actually told myself and a few people he hates BOB.

Not like yelling at you haha. Just clarifying.

Johnny Manziel has written the book on/redefined what it means to be a douchebag.

Johnny Football is the name, douchebaggery is the game.

Don't get it twisted.

Don't get what twisted? The fact that I personally know the guy?

Tired of the media hype bullshit on his "character" or this RIDICULOUS idea he is me first on the field and with his team.

Hire Schwartz, draft Manziel. Douchbaggery complete.

Move all Manziel talk to the QB prospect thread please...

O'Brien, McDaniels, Schwartz, Gase....boy it just keeps getting better...

smh
