So what are people's thoughts on Petty? I admittedly didn't watch much Baylor this year.
So what are people's thoughts on Petty? I admittedly didn't watch much Baylor this year.
I mean, you have to consider any guy who is an upgrade to what we have right now. Foles is a clear upgrade. I agree with boobie that he probably isn't a long-term solution, but simply getting an average QB would go a long way toward making us respectable on offense.
Other than having a stronger arm, being more mobile, being four years younger, 5-6% points of completions, 18 points of QB rating....nah, there's not that much separating him from Brian Hoyer.
Foles is a modest upgrade to the Browns, but I don't necessarily think he's a long-term solution either. Willing to let him prove it while on that rookie deal.

Well then Foles isn't your guy, not if he isn't a long term answer. In order to get him we'd have to make a move with Philly that would put them in position to jump up even further for Mariota. Are you willing to give up our first pick for a guy who isn't the long term answer?
Things look pretty bleak in the draft.
