Do Not Sell My Personal Information
FWIW the Metroparks is building a dock for a little ferry between the two banks up in that area. No idea if it will be open at night. Would be much funnier to watch if it is.

Were there people drinking on the front patio? Because I went there before the Browns game last Thursday to find that there was no alcohol allowed. I didn't see the dueling pianos, so my judgment is probably skewed, but I didn't enjoy it.

Still early in the game for the whole district. I don't expect them to be hitting their stride for another year. The boardwalk, though, is awesome to walk.
Yes - 2 operating bars with about 4-5 bartenders on staff. Drinking was definitely allowed on the patio.

Dueling pianos were awesome and played a huge range of music. They were accompanied at times by drums and guitar. A lot of dancing/a lot of drinking going on.

And the talent there was off the charts.

Saw something about that. They're looking to reboot the Water Taxi ferry service that was in use in the 80's and 90's. Seems like it was obviously shut down when nobody wanted to go to the East Bank anymore. Would be nice to have to commute from one end to the other.

Haven't heard any updates on when this will be up and running though?

UPDATE on Water Taxi:
These mockups were floating around Twitter -

And I guess the Taxi that is already in use near Merwin's?

Yup, that's it. Every Tuesday I think they give a free river tour w lunch at Merwins. Guy I talked to I think said before the end of the year, so probably fall time? Just said the docks had to be finished.

Thank goodness, this pushes out that useless Children's Museum. Not sure what the hell children have ever done that they needed a museum about their accomplishments (Dougie Howser wasnt real; the Childrens Crusade?). They bought the Stager Beckwith mansion at 3813 Euclid Ave. in Midtown but need a bunch more money before they can renovate it, so the Museum becomes a 'traveling show' until then. Surprised the Circle didn't try and get that covered when they leased out the land for the new high rise but I guess they figured the Children's Hospital was enough nice things for children over in that part of town.

University Circle is an amazing place. Its too bad such bad areas immediately surround it.

I LOVE the idea of that chopped wood for a wall. Not sure if it's going to go over great in there? Seems kinda outta place. But I think that looks badass.
