They are down here in Columbus, too. Everywhere downtown. Don't know if they are trying to be dumb but just the typical, "Wanna sign this petition to smoke some weed, maaaaaaaaan?"

I throw them a $1 and keep walking.

Saw the other day a man walk up to them and took a bunch of actual weeds, dandelions and shit out of a box and started throwing it at them, yelling "Here's your weed, here's your weed!" I was dying.

Keep in mind these are 2014 numbers. It will undoubtedly continue to climb in 2015 (probably at a higher %) with the R&R HOF induction (NYC in 2014), NBA playoffs/Finals, and this first Republican debate.

Sidenote: I checked out the East bank last weekend. The boardwalk is really cool and nice. The club was open. Looked like a cool concept. I hope they find something quick to fill Toby Keith's. That building is finished, at least on the outside. I was going to eat at Alley Cat's, but they had a private opening that evening. Something else I noticed, there is one decent sized parking lot, but I think it will be an issue. I don't see how it will be big enough for tenants + visitors. They should tear down one/some of those old vacant looking buildings and add lot(s).

I plan to checkout the Piano bar tonight after dinner. My roommate has been to the one in Colmbus and had good things to say about it.

Review on Big Bang:

I don't know if it will be the norm or not, but there was a $6 cover charge. Regardless, well worth it. Short waits to get a drink at the bar. The servers check your table regularly. The performers are very talented, engaging, and make for a fun and friendly atmosphere. One minute, the servers are getting you drinks, the next, they are on stage dancing.

It was an overall very fun atmosphere. It drew a crowd from all age ranges. Not a club feel and not really a bar feel. Something unlike anything I have been to before and I'll definitely be going back.

Had a friend from work tell me almost the exact same thing as she went to the opening on Friday night.

I definitely plan to check it out in the next week or 2.

Last week during my lunch, I walked over to the East Bank to check-up on the progress. A few observations/question:

1) The boardwalk is awesome. I wish they would have it going all the way over to the old flats area.

2) FWD was pretty small. It's like if a Vegas pool party was cut into 1/5 and one of them dropped onto a remote piece of land in Cleveland... Very nice inside and it'll be unique to be able to have a day-bed situation in Cleveland. I walked in mid-construction, so I don't know what it's like when people are drinking/partying. There was already a fight, so I'm not gonna go until the cocaine heads go back to their regular watering holes.

3) What's the place across the street from Big Bang/Punch Bowl going to be? It looks like a big stand-alone building, but it's empty.
EDIT: That's where Toby Keith's was supposed to be. Glad it's not going there.

I was just at Larry Flynt's the other day & definitely didn't see a lot of greenery around there...

Ay-yo. :mf boobies:

I heard their Pie's aren't fresh but they do have some great "crabs" :img56:

There was already a fight
Supposedly it was an altercation between two guys who knew each other and had fought each other a couple of weeks earlier over the same issue.

Not sure it was indicative of the club or the scene down there. Just a couple of fucking idiots trying to hash out their "issues."

How many times will you tell that depressing story as a joke?

These are the syndication years. The shoes been cancelled long ago and is being sold off to a new audience.

Went to Big Bang last weekend. Honestly got too drunk to provide an accurate review but I can tell you the area itself is really, really nice and the bar was packed.

And I had a lot of fun?

Were there people drinking on the front patio? Because I went there before the Browns game last Thursday to find that there was no alcohol allowed. I didn't see the dueling pianos, so my judgment is probably skewed, but I didn't enjoy it.

Still early in the game for the whole district. I don't expect them to be hitting their stride for another year. The boardwalk, though, is awesome to walk.
