That is all...

I think you could go 7 strong every time out in the National League Pipster....

I hate when people say this.

Clearly Cliff is a top 3 pitcher in baseball right now and best in the NL. he's fantastic, even better now that he has a good team behind him and some motivation.

When people say that pitching in the NL is easier than pitching in the AL? I'd have to agree. Shit, look at Sabathia's splits after we traded him last season...

- Sabathia (18 games w/ CLE): 6-8 with 3.83 ERA, 13 HR's allowed and 3 complete games.

- Sabathia (17 games w/ MIL): 11-2 with 1.65 ERA, 6 HR's allowed and 7 complete games.

It's nothing new, Lee is simply replicating Sabathia's success last year after switching over from the AL to the NL. There's a reason Sabathia kept putting off the Yankees, saying "I want to stay in the NL." But in the end, money speaks much louder.

I do agree that Lee is killing shit now and did well with us before we traded him, so there's no reason to think he's a fluke or not a very solid pitcher. But I don't see how you could hate someone saying pitching in the NL is easier than in the AL. You face one less position player per game and the bats just aren't as good.

Imagine if we had CC Lee and Carmona when they all had their shit together. When CC and Fausto were rollin Lee was off. Lee was rollin and CC was iffy and Carmona wasn't there yet.

We could have had 3 20 game winners on one staff :uhh:

You might hate it, but the National League is clearly the inferior league and will always favor elite pitchers.

I wasn't trying to discredit Cliff Lee by saying that because I agree that he's a tremendous pitcher and one of the best in the game, but the NL is basically a different game from the AL.

I think the AL is a stronger league but I'd hardly ever say it's inferior to the point where hyperbole like what you posted is necessary.

The Indians just gave the Phillies another pennant for table scraps. Hope they're happy.

Hasn't it been like 10 years since the NL won an All Star game?

That would be a scary thought, but would our hitting be enough to get them 20 wins? Look at our team now. I don't think we have the hitting to do so. Now if you puit them on the team that went to the American League championship, we would've won it all, but with this offense now I would be a little skeptical.

Barajas just told Roy about this thread

Then a reporter informed Mr. Halladay that he has allowed at least one earned run in his last 11 starts, going 3-5 over that span. He is also 0-4 when allowing 3 or more earned runs (5 games) over his past nine games. Riding Halladay's sack is so pre-ASG :chuckles:

In Docs defense, he would like to let everyone know that this team has lost 23 1 run games.

I can seriously buy the Doc to New York 2010 story because this team really sucks. :(
