The more concerning thing to me is weight. A guy that could be listed at 6'9" couldn't break 200 lbs? I was hoping he would hit 210 as he does have a nice frame.

Porter is going to need to spend significant time in the weight room.

Dion will need to whip these guys into shape.

Really surprised that Noel weighed in at only nine pounds heavier than Porter.

If Porter was going to be a post player I think it would be more concerning but he will do most of his damage from the wing/elbow extended areas

I think the prospect with the most concern from a weight standpoint is Noel hands down

Porter looks to have fairly broad shoulders in his DraftExpress profile picture:

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Otto-Porter-6528/

I'm not concerned about his weight at all. The average size for an SF is 6'8 224 according to some article I found, and I bet it's gone down since then (2011 article). Have no doubt he could be an average weight SF with above-average height/length.

200 lbs. is pretty skinny for the small forward position. Assuming we resign Livingston we might have the most lengthy rail thin wing rotation in the league.

Imagine somehow getting gobert too. That would be some serious length.

If 200 is skinny for a SF (it is), then what is 206 for a C?

Tristan's measurements were very similar. 6'7.5" without shoes, 6'8.75" with shoes, 7'1.25" wingspan.

O.k ..move TT to SF then..since they're about the same size.:chuckles:

I said before, I see a lot of over the top posts about this or that regarding this player or that one. And some of it is really unbalanced and shows that some don't know what really look at when U evaluate a player.

What you should be looking at is what this player brings to the table in terms of defense matchups etc..
Why D? It's what they need at the wing, plus we have MB who emphasizes defense so the draft will be about defense.

In looking at what the Cavs need Porter fits the bill for SF, in terms of weight ,he can add that over time and will.

I never looked at Oladipo because he's not a good fit at SF so all the comparsions to him and Allen don't hold any weight with me .

What the Cavs are looking for, and at, will not be leaked yet because I'm sure they don't know right now.
I would ignore that they aren't interviewing with him right now..they will when they work him out or at another time.

Great measurements for Porter. Now the only concern is the lotto drawing.

Cleveland really needs the lottery odds to hold or improve to have a shot at Porter.

Ideal size and a strong college pedigree likely means Porter will go #2 or at worst #3.

Gotta hope SF isn't a need for whatever teams end up ahead of them.

As for not interviewing him, this seems like a pointless exercise in trying to act uninterested.

SF is actually a big need for a bunch of lottery teams.

Chances he falls out of the top 3 are extremely slim because of that.

Definitely need some help with the ping pong balls.

If the lottery goes with the odds (i.e. projected order) then we'll be fine - the Magic (Mo Harkless/Tobias Harris) and Bobcats (MKG) aren't going to look for a SF.

The problem is that other than those two and some of the really low teams - Portland (defensive centre or trade), OKC/TOR (Durant/Gay) and probably Utah (Hayward & will draft Burke) - there aren't a lot of teams that won't grab him ahead of us.

If we end up with our traditional 4 spot, we're probably looking at one of the centres now.

Sacramento, suns, wiz could all go small forward.

I feel like Sac will go PG. Their assists are piss poor, and they really need a floor general in the worst way. The Suns and Wiz also need young bigs to replace their either old or inferior talent at the 4 and 5 positions.

What Sac does will bank highly on if the decide to keep Tyreke imo

Gotta think anyone interested in McLemore is also gonna consider Oladipo.
