Where he was picked has no relevance in regards to how good he isWas Sexton demanding other’s “get better”? If so, I agree. However, as a 19 yr old 8th pick in the draft, he also shouldn’t be expected to instantly be the best player on the team, or even a stand-out as one of the best. IMO, all we can ask is for growth and potential, which he has shown (unless your standards are that he not make the same mistake twice).
A couple other things:
1) I vaguely recall reading somewhere that he decided to play basketball later in his college career? That could be wrong.
2) I don’t know the history behind 19 yr old 8th picks and what kind of numbers they put in the context of their “team’s overall talent”, but if anyone has some stats to throw out I am curious.
