More evidence that baseball is totally screwed up and should be blown up. The Yankees payroll was 50% higher than the 2nd highest MLB payroll....they should have won. Their payroll was higher than Pitts, Florida, Sand Diego, Oakland and Baltimore combined. A-Rod made more than the entire Pitt Pirate team.

The Yankees played within the rules, problem is, there aren't any. Baseball needs some major changes to level the playing field or their fan base will deteriorate and small market teams will start folding. A $210M payroll is just stupid.
