Well that sucks....
Because in this theoretical, it’s a pure meritocracy in a vacuum.

But how would it be a meritocracy until CPJ had even a fraction of the starts, minutes and responsibility that Garland has had for years. In my theoretical, I’d tell them to fuck off.

And what would you do after CPJ had his Merrill like slump/regression and you’d ruined your relationship with Garland and his agent?
If you told me to coach a team and I didn’t know who had what experience and I was blind to everyone’s salaries, I’d try starting CPJ ahead of Garland and see if he could take the job.
in limited number of opportunities, cpj has already provided clutch numbers, while garland has repeatedly wilted under pressure.Well, he said:
I think your question is somewhat unfair because he didn't say he'd do it if he knew things like experience and salary.
I do get his point. CPJ reminded me of Mitchell and Sexson coming down the stretch in that he showed no fear at all. You could see some others guys were a bit nervous and reluctant to take the shot, but CPJ went in there among the trees to grab a rebound, spin, head right back in for a drive, and dunk it. He doesn't play like a rookie, and because his game isn't predicated on shooting, I see less of a chance of him having a Merrill-like slump.
I personally wouldn't mind some games late where, if Garland is struggling, you yank him and replace him with CPJ. If that ticks off Garland and his agent, so be it. Perhaps instead it motivates him to be more intense and focused coming down the stretch.
Stance?Do we know what CPJ's stance is on the shape of the earth?
CPJ plays to his strengths. Many games Garland is shy to shoot it, and he isn't great at getting open or relocating even though he is great as a catch and shoot guy.
I think seeing a guy play to his strengths when the starter isn't doing that is frustrating a lot of us
that last word is what has surprised me and gives me confidence that CPJ is not a flash in the pan. He is, even by NBA standards, very athletic. That he has the highest vertical on the team is saying something. Add that athleticism with poise and fearlessness and you have a player.I think when CPJ in his 5th or 6th NBA game took it to the chest of Embiid he won the hearts of us fans. Fearless and athletic.

Stance?
Yes, he is afraid of standing on the edge.
Are you saying Aerosmith are flat earthers?
With the amount of drugs they have done, I am surprised they are flat liners.
Keith Richards would like a word.
