No I heard this guy too, he sounded very credible, didn't sound like he'd make stuff up and it makes sense. I think the general consensus around here is everyone finds this all to be very premeditated. That's why we're all furious including Gilbert.

Yeah i think it was part his anger and part he has been planning for such an event. I tihnk you have to ask yourself if lebron has really been getting this way over the last few years then gilbert is too smart a man to not plan for this eventuality. I think this whole thing has the potential to go bad for all involved, especially the nba and the players union. If 3 of the biggest stars are on the same team then the max contract should be what they are willing to play for.

Like I posted in one of the threads, his evidence better be pretty damning or I don't think Stern will do anything. Like...evidence that shows without a shadow of a doubt that he violated some sort of major rule or regulation. Anything else just won't be sufficient enough to change LeBron's title hopes.

Even then, at worst he's suspended for a year or something along those lines. I have no idea what exact violation would warrant that action, but he's definitely not going to block the signing. If LBJ was suspended for the year, for example, he'd still win a title before the Cavs would.

I just don't really understand where Gilbert was going there, and IMO that was definitely a line that should have been left out.

As much as I get the logic in that, I just don't think Gilbert is going to do that. With the money he has invested in the Q, the casinos, the practice facility, and the franchise as a whole, he will not see a 2-3 year tear down as a possibility.

If we are going to be winners, its on Dan Gilbert, Chris Grant, and Byron Scott. Hopefully the can pull it off because if we return to post Daugherty/Price, pre-LeBron era, its going to get ugly.
