Dawg Pound among top 5 landing spots for Michael Vick in 2013?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Id gladly take Vick over Weeden in Kelly's System,as least temporarily until we find are true QB...

Gotta admit.. I'd be a little excited to scramble my ass off on Madden if we signed Vick, but in reality it's a bad, bad idea.

It's never a bad idea when your chances of winning a superbowl double or triple.....

Our chances increase with Vick as QB over Weeden. If you're not in line with that thinking, so be it.

Maybe marginally, I'd rather not have either as QB personally. Vick definitely won't make our odds of a Superbowl double or triple though, unless you are saying we go from a .1% chance to .3%, then maybe he would.

Let me rephrase...I think having a billionaire owner with an offensive-minded genius as HC would go a long way in improving our chances of winning a superbowl, especially if we add Vick.

Just look at some of the teams in the NFC South & East while Vick was there........pretty stiff competition. In 2011, the Giants won the superbowl (same division). In 2009, the Saints won the superbowl (same division). In 2002, the Buccaneers won the superbowl (same division).

On the flip-side, the AFC North is ripe for the taking right now...immediately. Keep Weeden as the starting QB next year and we may start off as the 3rd best (2nd if you're lucky) team in the AFC North behind Cinci & Baltimore. Does that mean we'll end up as the 2nd best? Who knows.

If we go with Weeden next year going into this division i firmly believe we will finish last place in the AFCN...And thats with me thinking we have some of the best young talent in this divison..

That isn't saying much considering we are in a pretty tough division.

...ummm in 2009 he was on the the Eagles....in the NFC East. Not to mention he was a back up that year. So cancel out the Saints argument. He underachiever in 2011, he was a second year QB in 2002. None of those years make a differnce in this argument because not one of those years were a Michael Vick lead team a superbowl contender.

If thats your argument, then the Cleveland Browns had 3 divisional superbowl champs (Pitt 2x, and Bal) since 1999. Not to mention multiple years our division has lead to 2 playoff teams. Because the ACF North is sooooo competitive,we have an excuse to blow it right?

I wouldnt take a chance on Vick if you put a gun to my mothers head. Why would a team on the way up, take a chance on a QB on the way down? He is injury prone, a pick waiting to happen, and cant hold on to the ball. Do you really want that in the smash mouth, wet, snowy, and cold AFC North? I dont. His turnovers and attitude would be toxic to this locker room.

The only fits I see are dome teams that need a spark (Dal), and to rot in Philly,

Never mind that he's washed up, turnover prone, physically brittle, and never threw accurately in the first place... can you imagine the awful headlines if he came here? "This New Dawg Ready to Fight" "Vick comes Full Circle, Joins Dawg Pound" "Vick Sets Record for Turnovers in a Game, Goes Home to Kick Dog".

No. Just no.

If Vick comes here, I'm done with the Browns until he leaves. The guy killed dogs and I can't get over that, sorry. He's an asshole.

I guess he should have just gotten life in prison. He did his time and owned up to what he did. He shouldn't be restricted from having a life and a career.

I do realize he paid his time in prison. That doesn't mean I have to like or respect the guy.

He shouldn't be restricted from having a life or a career, you are correct. It is also my choice and right not to support any team that signs him.

Fair point.
