DeAndre Liggins Waived

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We would be so much better off if shumpert played like Liggins. Give all of your effort on the defensive end and not try and do much other than take open shots on the offensive end. It's partly our fault though because we made him the backup point guard. He thinks his job is to go in and dribble the rock for a bit and look to create some.

His travel today looks like Shaqtin a fool material.

Poor Liggins.

Turned to the game tonight, early fourth quarter, and the first thing I saw was a wide-open Liggins shooting an airball from about 18 feet.

Liggins' confidence is totally shot. Just sad to see.

Windy called it; said no matter how well Liggins was playing before, team/fans had to be careful of relying on him as the season moved on.

:(

Guy has looked like garbage coming off the bench for the last few weeks. And yet the team looked the best post-JR injury with Liggins starting. Sometimes the world doesn't make sense. Maybe start the guy and see if we cant get back to our level of 3-4 weeks ago.

As Lue said, "Everyone looks good playing with the starters."

Shump sure looks good, but it's a lot easier when LBJ is getting you open looks as opposed to standing on the perimeter with the Over-The-Hill-Gang hoping for an open 3. (Such a creative offense!)

I said we would miss Delly badly during the off-season.

I really think Liggins deserves continued opportunities on the team. He's had ups and downs, but he seems like he'll be able to contribute.

It's a shame teams refuse to guard him, with even a modicum of gravity he would be useful.

I guess it wasn't just a tooth ache.

"Liggins was introduced as the starting guard, but Jordan McRae took the floor after Liggins lost a tooth during pregame. A nerve was exposed underneath that left him in severe pain and caused migraines. Liggins was hit in the mouth during Wednesday’s game at Indiana, then the tooth fell out Thursday. He was treated at the arena by the Thunder’s team dentist and played the final minute of garbage time. But the late scratch sent the rotation into flux."

Needs to remain a starter until both JR and Shump are back. He can make an impact as a starter but he can't off the bench. Shump is fine off the bench.

He supplies much needed d. Iman isn't doing as much. Liggins really covers ground better than anyone else on the team, he can cheat and recover

He needs as much regular season experience guarding starters as he can get.
