Can u please explain more about this method in the "Dark Beyond" mission?

So it's on Moon, I'm not sure that is the exact name. It is a level 6 story mission, but when you put it on 9 you get 4 Hallowed Acolytes too.
Basically don't shoot the Knight at all, kill the Acolytes and Thralls, and then let the knight kill you.
When you are watching the cut scene right when it pans to the door opening activate the black wax idol.
Kill shit, let the Knight kill you, kill shit, repeat. After about 4 attempts, during your death (knight takes a while to kill you) activate the black wax idol.
You do this enough, you should easily get 6 or 7k glimmer, and likely quite a few engrams (I usually got about 8 or 9 an hour). Go to the tower (you can obviously wait longer than an hour, glimmer cap is 25k), visit my buddy the cryptarch, and buy the shit out of his green ARMOR engrams.
The reason you want the armor engrams only is they give you 10 cryptarch exp, and cost 450 glimmer, vs the 250 for 5 exp of the regular.
The time I tried with green weapons, it was 575 glimmer I think, for 10 exp, so a lost 75 glimmer per vs just buying 2 white ones, or 125 vs buying green armor.
Hope I explained well enough. Basically every cryptarch rank you get after 3 he gives you a message at the mail bot guy, generally in my experience it is at least 1 legendary engram, one time I got 2, both turned blue...
The mission description is something like follow the guardians footsteps.
