I slept the best I ever have in months. Woke up to the sorest shoulders/traps.
Don't know what it was about yesterday but I literally fell asleep at 9:30 and woke up to my alarm at 7am. I feel like Tony the Tiger right now.
What I did yesterday for a replacement for chips on some days (I still eat chips, Doritos are the shit, I don't care how bad they are for you. 9 Doritos with my sandwich at lunch isn't going to kill me)
Take a can of chickpeas, drain & rinse. In a separate bowl, ~2-3T of EVOO, and add cumin, cayenne, S&P, chili powder, I also added chipotle chili pepper and red pepper flakes. Toss the chickpeas in the bowl and coat. Place that delicious goodness on a baking sheet and spread. 350 for around 30min, mixing them around on the baking sheet occasionally (I did about 4 times within that 30min)
They are crunchy on the outside, still a little soft on the inside. GB&D (Golden Brown & Delicious)
Replaces chips/snacks. High in fiber, protein, iron. No sugar, no cholesterol.
I have been slacking on my running this week. Work has been a killer. This Saturday I am going to run 12 miles in preperation for the half marathon next Sunday. After that, I am going to go to Tony Packo's (Northwest, OH people know what I am talking about) and I am slaying a M.O.A.D and fried pickles.
