Diet and Workout Routines

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Haha, no. I graduated a couple years back. In the stupid workforce.

If someone wants a quick 30min. workout you can do at your house (if you happened to miss yours, don't feel like going to the gym)

Squats - 60sec
Jump Squats - 60sec
Push-ups - 60sec
Plank - 60sec
Burpees - 60sec
Rest - 60sec
Repeat 5x

I ended up doing a different kind of push-up every time, and added raised knees (put my arms behind my head and touched opposite elbow to knee) for a 3 count and then burpee, repeat..For only a 30min workout, I felt it, in my shoulders, slightly chest (over 100 nose to floor push-ups), tri's and huge in the abs. I would recommend it for anyone traveling or want to get a quick pump in before you go out.

Anyone recommend some simple core exercises I can do? As you know I had multiple surgeries that resulted in my entire midsection being opened up to clean out all the bullet fragments ... I have zero strength there...cant even do a situp. Need to strengthen ASAP.

Planks would be my first choice too

Bought some new clothes today..medium shirts and 33/32in waist pants, feels fucking great

Re: pre-workout powder....I got two cans of C4 shipped via groupon for like $38. Good for me, because I can't stand going into supplement shops hearing dudes spit out whatever the Twinlab, etc rep told them to say.

Also, a great way to hit your core is to do short (40-100m) sprints, with full recoveries in between. Your abs contract a ton of times, during a full-out sprint; just remember, to keep the distance short so you can get those tight abz.

Another GREAT core movement is the hollow rock; if you can do ten in a row your first time, without saying F this, it is quite an accomplishment!
Remember:
-rounded back
-tight cheeks
-toes pointed down
-keep the whole body tight and compressed
-rock mo fo!

It looks a bit simple, but it will ruin you lol.

This dude on reddit claims to run 8km a day and lift for 2.5hrs a day, six days a week completely natural with not so much as a protein shake..all while being 41 years old. I called him on his bullshit and instead of showing me his routine that takes so long and is physically doable after running 8km and working a job, he just insults me and claims i have no idea what im talking about and that i dont lift... some people :thumbdown

"Bro, do you even lift?"

Sounds like an asshole. And probably is one.
I knew a guy who was an EMT/Firefighter (so he's obviously in shape)-- he did these insane workouts and tried out for American Ninja. I asked him what he drank (protein before/after). He assured me that he didn't partake in protein shakes, but instead would eat an insane amount of sushi.

People have their own "swear by it" routines (eating and workout). I need a protein shake after, but not before.

dat intermittent fasting. You can totally tell the hormone differences when the fasting window ends and feeding starts. After i smash my lunch usually 800-1000 cals, im in a completely different mood within ~5mins.. its pretty wild. Some times it feels like a high and other times it makes me just wanna nap for an hour if i eat too much (like 1400 cals). Its like flicking a light switch, night a day difference...freaky.

My buddy and i are gonna get our BF% tested at our gym next week, see how accurate my scale is. Gonna set up progress picture compilation next week too. 2+ months of cutting will be in the books

welcome to reddit.

incredibly useful in some applications, but by and large full of immature idiots.

I believe you have hit the nail on the head. When i meet redditors IRL they usually end up being idiots in some capacity.. makes me wonder if im an idiot :gap:

Finals time..my diet and gym time are suffering immensely because of it

Wait, you've met reddit users in real life? How/where does this happen?
How many have you met?
What are they like?
Is there a reddit meet up?
Are there Bronies there?
