Diet and Workout Routines

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Everyone is different. I just read an article where a guy lost 100lbs. in a year by just walking an hour and watching what he ate/drank. Literally...just walking. He was up near 300lbs., so it was pretty easy for his body, which didn't have any previous workout experience, to lose that much. Don't know where you are and you don't have to share.

If you are near his range, and never cared about your diet, go on walks outside for an hour. Treadmill on an incline for 45-hour. Start incorporating jogging when you can. Watch what you eat.

If you aren't that guy and can lift/run, I would recommend 3 full body workouts/week involving compound movements. 1 exercise, eat part. Upper body push ,upper pull, lower. That will not pack on muscle in mass, but enough to keep your metabo up & keep burning cals. As Fivethous said, incorporate intervals, if you can. Example could be:

M- Lift/20min. interval session
T-Long walk/jogs (uphill if you can)
W- Lift/20min. interval
Th- uphill treadmill/walk & jog
F-lift/20min interval
Sa- Off or jog
Su-Off

None of your workouts will be longer than 45-hour. Can easily fit into anyone's schedule.

Just do what works for you. Losing mass poundage starts in the kitchen. Everything else is icing on the cake (yummmmm, icing...)

Yeah it is safe to say I am definitively close the 300 pound range. I played sports all through HS, and a bunch of rec stuff in college, but I was never skinny. I was always the in-shape bigger kid (240-250 range). When I used to lift more of a power lifter, max on the bench was around 370, and could do 3 sets of 12 at 225. Now I keep the bench lower, stick to 3 sets of 12 at 185. I also have completed a round of p90x 3 years ago. The issue I have is I travel for work, so don't always eat good, and don't stay in a good workout routine. A buddy of mine suggested running as it is an easy activity to do when on the road.

Main goal for losing weight is to get healthy, but with my job I need to sharpen my appearance so losing some weight would help.

people treat you so differently when you're in shape. especially the bishes. its kinda crazy, but makes perfect sense. Until ~this year, i dont think any girl besides my ex ever told me I was hot or sexy, and now it happens pretty regularly...constant motivation to keep kicking ass lol

I agree. I have started to notice it more the higher up the food chain I get at my company, it would be hard to get past my current level unless I lose some weight. I have been able to overcome it by buying expensive tailor fit clothes, but it only does so much until I lose weight. I also have started to notice their is just not as much mens fashion in the bigger sizes. It is one of the reason I want to get into running as it is something I can take on the road to do, either on a treadmill or running outside.

I mean if you have done P90X before, get Insanity or something you can play in your hotel or portable DVD player. No weights and will def. do exactly what you need.

If you want to drop the pounds then drop the sugar and starch from your diet. High fat low carb with plenty of meat and vegetables.

Exactly, avoid white carbs and flour unless you're doing it before/after you work out. Drink a lot of water, this will help keep your system flushed.

Are you able to cook and pack a bunch of meals for when you travel? I have to imagine at minimum you have access to a microwave and an ice machine.

I mean ive felt nauseous from eating before, but idk about pain :/ how many calories are you trying to cram in? maybe too much too soon? drink water to stretch out your stomach more? I know from your older posts you like to eat real clean, maybe dirtying up the ol diet would help? muh fuckin chicken nuggets man.

I can agree with this. Currently on the Keto diet. At the end of week 3 (Sat), I should be down around 20 lbs without exercise. I started at 220.

I'm in a permanent state of bulking. Couple things that help me:

- Eat more cals in the morning.
- Eat smaller meals but eat more frequently.
- Don't increase your fiber too dramatically b/c it will cause bloating.
- H2O helps with digestion.
- Cinnamon helps to eliminate abdominal discomfort due to gas (those fucking wretched ass protein farts that turn into a knife if you have to hold it for too long)
- Honey has enzymes that help breakdown food. Cake everything in honey.

Not a be-all end-all list, but hopefully some of it will lessen the misery. Also I would avoid the antacids like pepto if your pain isn't acid related. If you take it too frequently it can cause a rebound effect and your stomach will secrete more acid adding to your misery.
