Diet and Workout Routines

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Final recorded lifts:
S: 370
B: 225
DL: 470

Really really happy :D

Does anyone have any tips on how to make a cheap weight "device" that I can travel with? I remember seeing a way to make a T-shaped bar out of pipe from home depot and you can attach weights to the bottom of it and do two handed kettlebell things with it (I think it was in The 4 Hour Body).

I'm going on a 12 day road trip next week and my gym is closed this week, I'm not really afraid of losing gainz but more afraid of going insane from not lifting for so long lol

Get a handle of Whiskey then fill it up with sand when you are done with it. Boom.

Congrats APie on your PL meet....how was the vibe? I've never done PL meets, but I've got some Strongman event experience; those guys are intimidating as fuck, but they're beyond helpful and all pretty cool. Just curious to see how the PL community is.

Instead of buying a bunch of metal pipes and old weights (I've got a couple of these in my shed; metal pipe $$$$ creeps up on you fast), why not a DIY sandbag? Use an old backpack or duffel, or else spend $15 at an Army/Navy store for a military duffel. Buy 2-3 boxes of freezer bags, some duct tape, and a couple 50# bags of sand (home depot). Fill a freezer bag about halfway full with sand, close it, tape it, and place it inside another freezer bag and seal it. Each freezer bag should be about 5# or so, and you will look like Heisenberg while you're doing it. Repeat until your bag is as heavy as required. About $25 out the door.

The meet was awesome, about everyone was super friendly, all cheering for one another and everything. One guy was my warm up buddy and another was kinda coaching me thru bench and deadlift. Stood next to a guy that was about 6'4 and he weighed in at 355, like 16% BF lol..brick shit house, real intimidating.

That sandbag idea is awesome! I'll definitely look into that! The only other thing I thought of was Dan John's "slosh pipe" PVC filled 2/3rd with water but that just sounded like a hastle to transport..I can get away with a few sand bags though!

I'm thinking I should stop juicing.

I'm Supposed to have kids, I want a boy. and I don't want to die at60 like Roddy Piper

So as some of you know I was living a fairly strict slow carb diet the last 6 months or so, I cut from 188 to 167 and put a few lbs on to maintain a weight of 171-174. I reintroduced only the following carbs: brown rice, wheat bread, peanuts and peanut butter last Monday. I've gone from 174-181/182 in that short span. My energy has dropped and my knees are extra sore. I think my little two week experiment is going to come to an end this weekend and I'll be back on slow carb on Sunday. I'll be curious to see how quickly I can cut these extra 7-8 lbs I put on in the last two weeks.

Nike Romaleo's are on sale for $128 if anyone wants a bad ass lifting shoe. (edit- use code LKS15836 to bring them to $119 + tax) http://slickdeals.net/f/8032547-men...bay-com?page=4&rpid=77535311&rp=3#commentsBox

I made that sandbag weighted duffel, 50lbs is fucking heavy haha. the trick will be loading it in the van without someone noticing that im bringing a heavy ass bag for the sake of bringing a heavy ass bag :chuckle:
