Diet and Workout Routines

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
For those who are trying to do the low calorie thing, I have been using an app on my iPhone called "myfitnesspal". I entered in some basic data and it gave me a goal calorie count to lose a certain amount of weight per week. For me, I'm losing 1.5 pounds per week keeping myself at or below 1,360 calories per day. Combined with working out at least 4 days a week, I've seen results and it has only been a month or so.

1360 is ridiculously, wickedly low. If I did that, I'd lose a lot of weight in a short time and then hit a wall (what happened to me last time I did a cut, I leveled off at 172 and couldn't reduce without dropping below 1000 calories a day, which is a bad idea). What is your height/weight/age....

Reminding me of days of A/S/L :chuckles:

I'm 5'8"/24/161. Body fat is like 14.5%. My weight bracket is from like 138 to 162. I want to get to a lean 150-155. I started around 166 about a month ago.

These online calculators vary so fucking much so I guess I can't really tell if that's good or bad, but you're a smaller dude it sounds like so you actually might be doing well. Just a crazy low calorie amount. I'm 22, bout 185 pounds, a smidge under 5'11...and I sustain at about 2400 calories and when I'm on a cut (like right now) I aim for daily cardio at 30-60 minutes with about 1900-2000 calorie intake.

I just hope I don't level off again at 172 like I did last time.

These guys good to go?

.....but seriously.. they good to go?

haa.. I did some reverse engineering. Found a g2g site and checked reviews of them. Then figured out just to go to the review site and check the top of the list.

eroids.com

I'd cross reference with other rating sites before taking the plunge, but yea, this is on the right track and those prices are really good. its even cheaper than walking down to mexico twice a week and having them stab your butt with testosterone made for cats. Im waiting on a big paycheck that should come in monday and then this is #1 on the todo list

depends on the rest of your meals etc... imo those shakes arent that filling. but if the rest of your diet is really low cal and youre missing out on some protein, its a good idea. keep at 1g a pound

Nothing wrong with a shake after running, actually it would be better to include some simple carbs in it since they go straight to refueling your glycogen stores. One of the very few times that simple carbs are a good thing.

Also holy crap at 1360 calories a day. Dude I promise you, you could eat over 2k calories a day on a low carb diet and lose weight.

My roommate struggled with losing weight for a long time, he went on a high-carb, low-fat diet for a year and he was miserable. Then I met him and Showed Him The Light and he was so much happier and lost weight just as effectively.

low fat is scientifically linked to depression

it really is. ten years from now we are going to look back at what we know about dieting and LOL ourselves.

Dude thats whats fucked up about nutrition science, everything changes all the time

How many carbs do you limit yourself to per day? I've never done a low carb diet; like I said I never really eat a lot of carbs anyways. What kind of meals do you make? Just throwing shit at the wall, might change up what I'm doing.
