He is just redundant as a starter with the number of weapons we have. If he would accept coming off the bench it is simply a far, far better fit for our team.

Third game in and its already trending in that direction with his playtime.

Through 3 games he's averaging less than 1 assist a game. He's averaging less than 2 rebounds. So he either becomes a 50% shooter real quick, or figures out how to impact the game in areas other than scoring. Or else he's gonna become a microwave guard off the bench and maybe that's exactly what he should be.

His role is to play off the ball on offense, and the ball rarely moves enough to touch his hands. How many assists should he have? And when we allow teams whatever they want on the other end, and have Love , Andy, and Tristan cleaning up the glass the few times they miss, how many rebounds should he have? The guy has shot the ball miserably so far, but all of the other complaining is ridiculous.

I like Dion but he's starting to fade out on our new team. Wouldn't be surprised to see him moved at some point for a better fit at the 2 or a big man.

Also, Wes Matthews is a tremendous player on both ends of the floor.

Speaking of Kyrie, we need less jumpshots and more drives from him; but our spacing is just nonexistant. I don't know if that's because teams aren't guarding Waiters out to the 3 or because Love crashes the boards too early instead of spotting up for entire plays.

He's playing with zero effort right now. It's one thing when LeBron, a guy who has proven himself in the league, doesn't give maximum effort. It's another when a guy who has shown relatively little so far in his career does it. Watch him on the defensive end box out. You'll be watching forever because he doesn't do it. He just watches. Matthews did whatever he wanted on offense as well. I mean if he's not going to play good defense, make shots, or try and grab some boards then I'm not sure what he's doing....
