i need to go back and find all the people calling me dumb for suggesting we try to flip dion to orlando for afflalo last summer

If we could some how obtain Brandan Wright for some combination involving Dion, that would be nice. Wright's putting up solid numbers. Probably would take a third team though because Dion wouldn't make sense on the Mavs.

He has looked awful offensively and really takes some dumb step backs. But he truly busts ass on defense. He is definitely a gambler, but when he is out there, I notice him getting into the passing lanes and showing a lot of effort.

Not sure where this myth came from. He falls asleep on defense all the time when he isn't guarding the basketball. If he truly was busting his ass on defense I think he would be seeing more floor time despite all the horrendous shots he takes.

Dion Waiters couldn't hold Delonte West's jock strap. Take me back to 08-09 when the games were fun, the team actually liked eachother and had chemistry.

This, Delonte can lead a bunch of scrubs, shoot well and has good perimeter D compared to this louse who keeps bricking his stepback shots and I cringe every time is see him attempting shots.

So again I ask, who has a worse shot selection Dion or Josh Smith?

Yeah his help defense was awful, won't even rotate. Getting tired of his play and attitude.

I liked Dion's effort on D - he was aggressive on the ball and giving effort in man D. We have to be fair and acknowledge his minutes and role have been all over the place this season. Right when he seemed to be settling into his role and playing patient ball, Blatt randomly comes with Joe Harris/Mike Miller at the same time with Waiters glued to the bench. I also don't like Blatt pairing Waiters and Irving together so much when he does get in.

My only real problem with Dion is he needs to ELIMINATE that step back fadeaway from his shot selection entirely.

I really hope Dion is on his way out. His whole tenure in Cleveland has been awful for him. He's had three different head coaches, who doesn't really consistently help him or mold him into a better player. He's the only player I've seen on the Cavaliers with the shortest of rope to play with.

He accepted his role off the bench, but what happens? He's not able to put his skills to work. I believe in Dion, and I think he's valuable to our team, but I don't see how he's being used properly.

If we're going to use him as our sixth man, he should have free will off the bench, period. He should be the playmaker and spark we need, but instead he's still playing second fiddle.

It's sad really.

Dion isn't a contributing member on a championship level team at this point. His attitude is one of the worst I have ever seen from an NBA player.

Last year I defended him a lot, at this point if it quacks like a duck...

Maybe one day he will mature, but it isn't going to be with this team, he is a long way off.

Aside from that, let's say he was a positive locker-room guy without the blatant mental flaws, he is still an undersized 2 that fails to finish at the rim. We all value our own players more than we probably should but Dion is placed on a level by some Cavs fans that would appear ridiculous to an impartial observer.

For some players adding a degree of difficulty to their shot is what they are used to. To try to shoot it in a more normal style would actually lower their efficiency. In many situations when Dion has the ball in his hand I think that is the case with his step back Js. When he is hitting those shots he is unstoppable, like some of his 30 point games in the past. But then other nights he is 0-7.

Dion is a perfect example of a rhythm shooter. Actually bringing Dion off the bench and playing him in sporadic minutes is probably the worst thing you can do to him. Rhythm/streak shooters need two things, confidence and to get into a groove. But Dion will never get hot playing 2 minutes here 4 minutes there. Even if you only play him 24 minutes a night it is better to play him in three long stretches of 8 or more minutes at a time. And if he gets hot you love him on the floor.

I have been one of his biggest supporters in the past but whether he is right for this team I don't know. The truth is everyone is playing well below their capabilities right now and I don't think it is fair to judge anyone. Instead of trying to change the roster we need to let these guys keep playing together and hopefully they will start to mesh and build chemistry. If however it becomes more clear that Dion is a big part of the problem with his attitude then we should indeed move in, but unfortunately we won't be getting much in return.

He's going to be one of those guys people come up to Cavs fans and say "bet you didn't know he was capable of that." I think most of us know he's capable of greatness but we (1) don't have the time (2) can't force him into taking a back seat. He seems like a guy who just wants to get paid and put up crazy stats over winning championships.

You can say a lot of things about Kyrie, but I can tell he's listening to LeBron and the coaches. My favourite moment of this lacklustre season so far has to be him asking whether the Chicago game is what the playoffs feel like.

I just can't stand watching Dion play anymore. The sense of entitlement he projects calling for a foul every time he drives then not getting back on defense. Like he's won championships or something. To me, he's Wade without the foul drawing or finishing ability. Which does not equal a good player. I'd love to trade him to Phoenix for Miles Plumlee and Green.

He needed to be willing to change his game to fit the team, to start doing some of the dirty work and to only take shots when it was within the offense. He hasn't done it yet and I don't think he's going to do it. See if he proves me wrong.

He better or else... I mean I know LeBron likes his game but after seeing some of this crap he does he might be wishing we kept Wiggins.
