Wow, can't believe Thorpe wrote that...

He typically rips into Dion at whatever chance he gets. I remember in his 2012 NBA Re-Draft he had Dion going in the 20s IIRC :chuckles:

I'm kind of glad Grant is gone. All those trades rumors had to be getting to him a little.
Give him time and I'm sure he'll put it all together. I'm excited to see him in the Rookie/Sophomore challenge.

Just heard a Dion interview when he said he was going to try to get 10 to 12 assists tonight. When they asked him if he would play point guard he said "Yea, that's my position!"

I wouldn't take anything he said in that interview too seriously. Even with his usual poor interviewing skills that one was especially bad.:D

I just kind of assumed this was what he meant.
"I'm definitely comfortable being the primary ball handler so playing some point won't be a problem at all."

Only in Cleveland do we draft a point guard and then go out of our way to prevent him from ever playing at point guard :shakehead

I think he meant, he can create for others, he's used to it. It's nothing new for him to create for others. Not many people that aren't Cavs fans know about Dion's passing and play-making ability.

He plays point quite often in games.

He's also a shooting guard, Kyrie is the point guard.

The thing that gives Dion a lot of problems is that he is still not good with the quickness, length, and power or NBA bigs. LIke AC says, he exposes the ball too early, and he doesn't use his body properly to protect his shot. I think he has shown the athleticism and body control required, he just has to work on it. In any case, I think he is going to get to the rim at will against these Rookies and Sophomores.

I'll try to gif some plays of Dion in the rookie/sophomore game. I expect him to dunk on everyone.

Is there really anyone that could defend him? If they really play and not the normal no defense all star type games I could see him also shutting some people down.
