Post #185 in this thread suggested that the US should dedicate funds currently being dedicated to global warming to Ebola instead. Can't recall who's post it was or why the two would have anything to do with one another.

The poster was merely pointing out that trying to stop ebola is a better use of the funds currently dedicated to global health concerns like global warming. Ebola is a more immediate danger and thus should receive the funding that is being used to prevent global warming.

For fuck sake you global warming alarmists are touchy about your funding. It was just an example of how we could reallocate some funds to something that might actually be a threat to mankind. We could take it from the military too...there, feel better? We just signed an $88M bill to speed production of ZMapp and two other vaccines...I'd feel better if it was $880M. I dont care where it comes from.

NBC News Freelancer in Africa Diagnosed with Ebola
An American freelance cameraman working for NBC News in Liberia has tested positive for Ebola and will be flown back to the United States for treatment.
The infected freelancer was hired Tuesday to be a second cameraman for NBC News Chief Medical Editor and Correspondent Dr. Nancy Snyderman. Snyderman is with three other NBC News employees on assignment in Monrovia, reporting on the Ebola outbreak.
The freelancer came down with symptoms on Wednesday, feeling tired and achy. As part of a routine temperature check, he discovered he was running a slight fever. He immediately quarantined himself and sought medical advice. On Thursday morning, the 33 year-old American went to a Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) treatment center to be tested for the virus. The positive result came back just under 12 hours later.

Well first the Ferguson Isssue that is still going on and is seen as some by police abusive power. Yet we are still worried by this outbreak used to distract us from the real issues. I mean the "Swine flu" "H1 flu" West Nile Virus" ect.... I am starting to think that this is all nothing more than a distraction. As if the government can not figure out and test for Ebola? I mean it is more common than you think! Bottom line is everything and while true to some extent is so far exaggerated to the point now AIDS out of now where is not a health issue. I am sorry however this world is pinning us down, thankful we live in the one city that can only grow from the trench. I however find what is going on in Ferguson MO, Way more interesting in this so called Ebola outbreak I remember having this issue before this right? Oh thank god for the Cavs real or staged at least i can get behind that to blind me and give me hope. Again Cleveland will be on the rise so at least we have a few fifty good years ahead before all hell literally breaks lose here and In the world.

How about this as a compromise that I know Max will be in favor of:
We can re-allocate all global warming funds to Ebola research. But then we re-allocate entitlement program funds to global warming research.
