This is just ridiculous.
Honestly, this is clearly what Griff and company envisioned when they acquired Korver from the Atlanta Hawks and this is what the Cavaliers expected to have in him a deadly three-point shooter who, next to LeBron and company, would just be the most deadliest weapon on the floor offensively.
It took some time. A lot of us were impatient about the entire process, but that's thankfully the guys never worried about it and knew things would begin to click.. He's by far too good of a shooter to not find his stroke and not find his groove within this offense. Watching more clips of him over the past 10 games, you truly see how much of a difference he is making by getting to the open spots on the floor where Bron and Ky can find him. It's starting to become scary how Bron or Ky can attack the rim and just know where plan B in Korver is at when they get into trouble.. Just wait till JR comes back and we have TWO plan B's Bron and Ky can pass out of to those shooters. Just will be scary.
I'd love to see Korver's numbers defensively over the last 10 or so games as well. If we can dig deep and find out how well he has been, because I feel he's been solid. Making it clear he should be the starter.
Once healthy, you will have Korver and JR battling for the starting gig, but I like JR there mainly because of his defense.
But for now? Rather see Korver there, but I can see why Lue gives the nod to Shumpert, considering Shump plays a million times better next to Kyrie and LeBron.
The 2nd unit however, once 100%.. Do you keep Shump as the starter? Because if you do, you're running a 2nd unit of..
