Farewell, Richard Jefferson.

Stupid question,

We talk about small ball, but why couldnt Lebron play at sg?

Go big? If we have players like Jefferson or James Jones that can play the 3, why not throw Lebron some at the 2.

He is the most versatile player probably of all time, maybe Magic, why not use him at sg some too?

Not a dumb question i think the team should experiment with all forward lineups like RJ, LBJ, Smith, Love, and Jones. You got unusual combos of size and shooting

What other teams call experimenting with lineups we call 'playing the only 5 guys not hurt' preseason will be a lot of this

LOL. We have LBJ, Delly, Mo, RJ, Mozgov (if he has recovered from his surgery), AV, JR, not hurt...who else? TT if we get him under contract. JJ, Kaun and Harris if we want to give the sucky guys equal time. Eight good players if we get TT, eleven total. Should get some more guys in camp. Maybe treat it like summer league and give Quinn Cook and Sir'Dominic some real preseason minutes.

Its why we will have 6 camp invites that wont make the squad,. to take out minutes while the team gets healthy.

Maybe we will play more inside out which i would like to see.

Jefferson was brought in to be our Shane battier

RJ seems to be a much better fit on this team than last-legs Marion, but i’m worried how he’ll affect the team defense.

I think Jefferson was brought in for more off the bench offense. The 2nd team put on some horrific runs of no scoring last season which often allowed the opponent to get close enough that LeBron had to play extra minutes when it should have been avoided.

Jefferson looks to be like the Monty-Pythonesque-"I'm-not-dead-yet" 3 & D SF/PF we can use at the end of the bench that were hoping Marion or Mike Miller would have been last season. Not to mention that James Jones looks to have fresh legs so far. It's early, but I like what I'm seeing.

I don't disagree but with Andy, Tristan, and Delly out there it should mitigate his poor d somewhat. Just like James Jones you have a weak link and the other team will exploit.
