Think he should be just given a break along with LeBron so that he regains his 3-point shooting. He can still finish when he attacks the paint but without his 3-point shooting, he looks clueless out there. The man was automatic from corners last season. Hopefully he sorts it out soon!

RJ is clearly getting up there in age and can't bring it night in and night out. But from the glimpses he shows i have no doubt he can be a great 8th guy in the rotation come playoff time. Richard Jefferson was excused from the Cavs game against the Sacramento Kings because of the birth of his child.

The team announced late in the first quarter that Jefferson, 36, a reserve forward, was excused "to handle a personal matter. His return to the team will be updated at the appropriate time."

Sources confirmed it was to attend to the birth of his child -- a boy -- but it's not exactly a secret. Jefferson disclosed his son was on the way in a recent podcast he does with teammate Channing Frye and Fox Sports Ohio personality Allie Clifton.

The child is Jefferson's second son.

I had the Kings feed for the last game and they mentioned he was out for personal reasons and then it kind of got buried with the LBJ drama, congrats to the new dad and to his new family member.
