Farewell, Timofey Mozgov

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Bullshit. I voted for the mormon, not the moron

@Maximus

Damage literally called me evil when I told him I was voting for the mormon. I remember just before the vote he was still complaining about how The Mormon spent his career intentionally running companies into the ground and when challenged to say one bad thing about The Moron REFUSED to do it, literally couldn't do it. Or wouldn't. Who knows.

I remember it was around then he was still claiming he wasn't a liberal too.

He definitely didn't vote for The Mormon.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Surprised at this guys moves in the post

I thought he just scored off dunks

Next year we got this with Andy as his natural position of super energy for 20 minutes and that's it

I missed the game. Why did Mozgov play so few minutes?

A lot of lineup tinkering throughout the game with new Shumpert / Marion looks. Mozzy played well in his limited minutes. Drummond, while his stats look good, was having a pretty bad night offensively so perhaps Blatt thought this was a good "experimental" game.

We know what Moz brings at this point. I chalk it up to Blatt's knack for seeing what his players do in different situations...trying to work Shump in. We were playing with the lead the entire 2nd half so we had some breathing room to experiment a bit.

Just a guess, but Blatt seemed to be riding Mozgov for not pressuring the ball enough. We had our bigs hedging hard on a lot of screens again to challenge Detroit's ball handlers, makes sense after they lost their primary ball handler earlier this week.

Even when non-shooters like Monroe and Drummond touched the ball along the perimeter Blatt wanted a body on them and hands in their face- Moz had to continually be told to step up and hound them. That's about the only reason I can think of why Blatt benched him after his great start to the third quarter.

I call him BossGod now. He just cant stop being a positive influence on the floor. Last game he was a net -1 earlier but ended up as more than +12!

Love looking like a 5th option right now.

Timo played 36 minutes tonight and the Cavs needed every minute from him. This is why Blatt pulled Timo early because the team was up 15 and wanted to keep him fresh for the Portland game. There was also some concern regarding LeBron's status after injuring his wrists, so a full game from Timo would help alleviate that somewhat.

Mozgov surprised me with that little fade away on the baseline and also that ball fake where he spun baseline for the dunk. He shows flashes like that where you wonder just how much upside he has.

Great game from him tonight again.

I will tell you what, in the video I saw of him I asked myself why does he nt get more shots or be used more in the post. He has the feet, hands, skill to do so. Basically he was learning but when you are with a team that lets you be you he will get many more of time to perfect his game. Exciting to think what he give even at 29 he has the legs of a 26 year old.

I have to note that LeBron's chemistry with T-Mo on the PnR and overall is much better than Kyrie's. Bron and Moz put up some great plays, be it PnRs or just Moz screening then re-screening, leaving Bron with a clear path to the hoop etc.
Kyrie seems to always pass to his feet. He's a 7 footer, those bounce passes are hard for him.

I think Kyrie is to small to lob passes up to him. However he and Mozz should practice that to see where it fits. Lets face Bron is a much more smart player than Kyrie and unlike Kyrie he knows where to put every pass. This is why LeBron is the best player to date. At his size and his speed he can do things even at his age elite point guards can do.

I think they just know each other's movements very well, Bron and Moz that is.
They clicked really quickly and when LeBron plays you see a lot of play between them that works well almost all the time.
Kyrie just needs to practice with him, like you said. Maybe coaching staff can design plays for them to work together. Because even if those low passes make it to Moz's hands, it takes time for him to put it up and that second is enough for a defender.

Right that is why Bron seems to know how quick he can get Mozgovs hands ready for the lob. Irving as we seen many times is off when attempting to make that play. It is funny how you can see the IQ of players. Bron and Mozz have very high IQ, Kyrie, T.T, Miller, Shump. have high to good IQ, And Delly, Smith, have average IQ. I left off Harris, Jones, and Haywood for certain reasons.

I disagree with that list slightly. I think TT is a step lower than Shump, Ky and Miller. And I think Harris actually has an okay BBall IQ, just lacks experience and maybe talent.
