Farewell to Jarrett Jack

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Jarrett Jack

Should have done that Terry deal. What does Reggie Evans' contract look like?

Re: Jarrett Jack

He'll probably start and make the All-Star team for another team. So let's see here.... Mike can't develop young talent and then seemingly every veteran player we get under performs. There is one common denominator. You ever try to play for a coach that had no plan on offense? Not fun..

Re: Jarrett Jack

We were all pumped to have him when we learned he signed with us. He had a ringing endorsement from Mark Jackson: "He's going to help the culture,'' Jackson said. "He's going to help Mike Brown just as much as he helps Kyrie Irving. The things that he does to protect the locker room, to protect the team, to make sure that you're doing things the right way…he's just incredible. It was the best money that the Cavs could have ever spent.''

What the heck happened? Where's the disconnect?

It's just becoming painfully obvious.

Yea, it definitely doesn't make Mike look good. Jack has never played like this in his career. I'll keep saying that he's also still probably pissed that he was promised a role as the 1st guard off the bench, and then not even 20% into the season that role changes and hasn't been allowed to revert back.

Mike Brown is known for not being a man of his word. In the summertime he declared Dion a "starting SG in the NBA".

Kind of weird how all of our FA acquisitions cited Mike Brown as a big reason why they came here. He was held in such high regard by players league-wide it seemed. I wonder what the perception is now...

I wouldn't wonder too much.

"I came here to play for Coach Brown" is the kind of thing free agents say at a press conference simply because it's socially unacceptable to give the honest answer of "the Cavs offered me way more money than anybody else did."

Re: Jarrett Jack

A good game from good ole Jack. I can't remeber the last time I said that. Can he string two good games in a row? That would make two good games for the year. :chuckles:

Re: Jarrett Jack

Still did some really stupid stuff tonight, but overall a good game from Jack. What we brought him here to do. Here's to hoping he keeps it up and boosts his trade value in the off season!

Re: Jarrett Jack

Our injuries have been forcing Jack into more of a scoring role. I think that is a bit more natural for him.

He played one of his better games for us. Hopefully he keeps it up.

I don't think I agree with you at all. I think he has been much too relied upon to score but when the entire team is playing with effort it gives him some confidence to lead, which I think he's actually very good at and one of the reasons Mike Brown has played him major minutes this entire year even when he looks like a D-League scrub.

I think the overall effort of tonights game specifically creates opportunities for everyone including Jack because he's not a scrub by nature. His body language has been horrible as of late but when we play together as a team he seems to shine.

Jack isn't as bad as his seasons numbers would make him out to be. He's a guy that thrives when a team is thriving and takes advantage of it quite well just as he's done with Golden State. This is why we brought him aboard.

Re: Jarrett Jack

Jack made three spot-up 3's tonight after making just four spot up 3's in his first 12 games as a starter. His ability to play off the ball was crucial for us tonight.

Re: Jarrett Jack

Jack gets going the cavs are well oiled offensively. Dropping 114 with out waiters and miles is impressive. This is a top 10 offense if they figure it out.
