over passing on offense lack of urgency on defense. this team still lacks a good defender on the perimeter and the interior. nobody knows what their doing on offense. passing the ball around with no purpose. lbj is trying to be cute with his passing and handles. sheesh.. disappointing loss..

i feel blatt is a good signing for a rebuilding cavs with wiggins/bennett/etc.. but with this star studded lineup his voice gets drowned out.. he has to make better adjustments the next few games or else we will be seeing lue soon as a hc..
Why you heff to do this

Wish we were playing the heat for each of those losses
But really, not so worried

Can't believe they outrebounded us. THAT WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!

Hmm, my guess is most people are drunk, not so many responses

Not stating this as fact but it looked like he checked himself in early in the 4th quarter.

Honestly, it wasn't till the 4th till he played with more urgency and had the typical quickness we associate with him. Before his stint in the 4th he had I think back to back possessions where he just threw the ball to a Knick because the guy he was passing too wasn't where he thought it would be. I think it's easy to forget that he's coming off 4 years and especially the last year was everything was centered around him with essentially variations of LeIso (LeIso in the post, LeIso at the type of key, LePick and Roll with Bosh). Looks to me he's having a hard time trying to make sure guys like Irving and Love get going versus just trying to take over.

As noted when he did drive, unfortunately, guys weren't where he was expecting them to be. Shrug, I think they'll figure it out. Somebody already pointed out but the lack of pick and rolls between Love and Lebron or Love and Irving was very odd.

My observations:

1. Cavs have no business losing to this Knicks team that was basically Anthony, JR Smith and a bunch of end of the bench players. No excuse.
2. Cavs defense was extremely lazy tonight. How many wide open jumpshots for the Knicks tonight? Several times their guys would just be standing there like they were shocked they were so wide open.
3. Cavs were dominated on the glass by Knicks after the 1st quarter. Inexcusable.
4. Didn't See much improvement on the offense which mainly consisted of overdribbling and sloppy passing.
5. Cavs bench is scary bad and could be their undoing this year. Especially when you put it up against their competition's like Chicago.
6. Lebron was terrible in pretty much every facet of the game. He looked very slow and unathletic and lazy on defense. There were rumors out there about his back problems could be getting worse and tonight could definitely back that up.

Next 2 games are tough and I can definitely see them losing both. Could be a struggle for a while but in the East it's not as threatening.

I saw a lot of good things. Love looked good to me for his first game with new team. Lebron is the best player on the planet, so I am not worried about 1 off night. If he plays normal, we win this game by 15. Irving had moments, so did Dion. I will judge this team based on what I see after the all star break, but I really like the ball movement. We passed up way too many good shots early on.

My laptop crashed and burned in the 2nd quarter, and I spent the last 2 quarters trying to fix it, to no avail. This is not an analogy of the game, this shit really happened. Sad I couldn't participate in the thread, I usually live in here.

Also, relax, we'll be fine. A lot of miscommunication between a lot of new players leading to a lot of turnovers. Would rather that happen now than in April, May, or June.

Was at the game. Very fun night. Disappointed? A bit, but it's only one game.

Regarding defense: Wasn't that bad. The Knicks didn't have many layups, they hit a lot of midrange, and shots with the clock winding down. Not much you can do about that. They only scored 95 points, and that was with the Cavs turning it over a lot. Refs were completely on the Knicks side.

Regarding offense: Wow that was ugly until the 4th. Kyrie came to play. Love, Waiters, Varajao played ok. LeBron played one of his worst professional games and we still had a chance to tie at the end.

Overall: A strange game. LeBron was off in many ways. 82 game season. On to the next one. We will probably hover around .500 for the first 6 weeks of the season. Not a big deal.

Jesus, how Cleveland will it be when it turns out LeBron is suffering from debilitating back problems?

Oh the irony of not signing the max long term deal if this actually happens :chuckle:. Hopefully it's not the case and more of a chemistry problem which it seemed like to me.

Was at the game as well. Disappointing loss, but kinda expected it in a way.

Hopefully the team can rebound tomorrow. Usually when LeBron has a bad game, he goes off the next night, hopefully he will tomorrow.
