just got back from the game. fuck lebron. kyrie is the best player on this team, you may not agree with me but you're wrong. i was laughing the whole fourth quarter. i hope shit hits the fan with this team and we have the most epic failure of a team ever after all this hype. this is what im rooting for. i hope lebron's punk ass leaves in 2 years. i want to build around kyrie and love (and waiters). we need to get a damn center and than fill the 3 spot with someone who can play competent defense and stay the hell out the way on offense. i was excited to watch our team grow then fake lying egotistical bitch ass queen james has to come crawling back after shit starts to get tough and ruins everything. and btw, all this "home" and "remembering where you came from" shit is getting corny, that intro was pathetic. it just all starting to look like a beat to death attention seeking cheesy gimmick. thank god football still trumps all in this city

I will say one thing I actually took from this game was that Blatt made a correctable mistake of not using the bench enough. Not sure if he was caught up in the moment or wanted to make sure all the starters got in a rhythm together, but I think more minutes for both Marion and Miller could have benefitted the team along with more stretches with just 2 of the 4 offensive handlers(LBJ,Kyrie, Dion, Love) on the floor at the same time. I think the guys definitely overpassed at first, leading to turnovers and a tight game, which then led to some static play and deviating from our sets.

I would caution anyone from making too many predictive assumptions and points though about any one player, the chemistry, the schemes, etc off of one game, the first one that they've all been anticipating since August. The preseason doesn't show you much because no one on either team is giving a full 100%. It's going to take 20-25 games for the team to start to gel, whether there record on the surface is 20-5 or 14-11. After that quarter mark I think we can start making stronger opinions about what works and what doesn't. But doing so tonight based on a one game sample size is a waste of everyones breath. I mean call it what it is in the present moment, but what happened tonight or what happens even in the first 5-7 games will have little bearing on our chances(good or bad) in April and May.
