Game 18 | Cavs (10-7) @ Raptors (15-4) | Friday, December 5th 2014 | 7:30 PM ET

People ripping on LeBron for the first 2 quarters of the game is hilarious. It's the fucking Raptors missing their main man and game 18 of the season, of course he won't even bother to sweat it.

The glaring weakness I saw the last time these teams met was just lack of defense on the part of the Cleveland Cavaliers, they atoned for that tonight. Toronto can shoot it and to hold them to 41% from the floor and 33% from three is nothing to skim over. Quite impressive that defensive intensity was and a good hold over from last night's game in the final quarter.

Offensively, these team was stellar tonight. 4 players in double digits and the bench outscored the opponent's bench, is that the first time this season? Obviously jump started by James Jones with consecutive 3s for 8 and TT going for 21 and 14. TT's stat line is more impressive if I break it down: this cat had 15 of those points in the 4th, and 9 of those rebounds were offensive. Obviously, this lead to Cleveland's bench +9 on Toronto's.

They didn't let a player go crazy off on them like they did Williams last time, sure Johnson was balling but Williams in Cleveland was MAKING EVERYTHING. So good to see them make sure no one besides Johnson really got into an offensive rhythm.

Another bigger team on Monday...

Reading through it just now, I found the game thread highly entertaining and hyperbolic as usual. Especially the comments on Tristan early and Tristan late. :chuckle:

I don't know why people complain about game threads. They have typically been filled with agony and despair, and then comes the last page where you find out whether the Cavs won or not.

Unless it's really egregious, which has happened, people just need to treat game threads like the drunk friend. He's gonna say stuff he probably shouldn't, but you know he doesn't really mean it. Just laugh about it, understand its people giving you a heat of the moment thought, and move on.

Yeah, those posts generally get deleted and, in some rare cases, posters warned or sent on vacation. We try to give much more latitude here, recognizing that venting comes with the territory.

I am quite shocked that Tristan ended up stuffing the stat sheet like he did. I had to watch the game on a feed again, and didn't get to catch the entire game, but every time I saw Tristan he was getting abused by Amir, or not getting defensive rebounds. And then magically he ended up with 21 and 14??

What was so odd was that the Toronto broadcast had basically conceded victory in the third quarter. They were talking about how coaches circle these home games on their calendar (first game back from road trip) because the teams often lack energy. I'm pretty sure one of the broadcast members referred to the game as if it was actually over, and the cavs had won; never seen anything like it.

And by the way, I like my game threads how they are.

We are fiquring things out folks...offense has always been there but I like what I'm seeing on the other end

I've had a Justin Bieber sig for 4 years for the good of this team, you can handle a panic button avy for a few months.

My accomplishments, partial credit to wuck, include Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters, Kevin Love, and LeBron James.

The end of game offense was a bit odd in that it was the same play over and over again. Lebron walked it up, TT came up to set a screen, the other 3 guys park outside the 3 point arc. They just kept doing it over and over again. Then for some reason the rapts decided to blitz Lebron and send a double team as soon as he crosses half court which just opened all sort of stuff then game over. Cant argue with the result, but I'd love to see more of Blatt's offense run in the half court.

TT with a monster game just hustling out there. The years playing with AV have rubbed off in a good way. He got a couple more possessions that arent credited in rebounds too.

With the emergence of Jones and Mike Miller and hopefully Delly coming back soon I'm hoping we can get Love, Lebron, and Kyrie under 36 mpg, one to preserve them a bit but also to start getting something more consistently out of the bench which is going to need more time to develop, just like the starters have

With all our issues we have less losses than bulls. Granted they been hurt but they are 2-5 at home
