Game 19 | Pacers @ Cavaliers Dec. 5th, 7:30PM (ET)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Pacers are definitely the sleeper team of the Eastern Conference, so we better tread lightly. Against the offense happy Knicks we chalked up 17 turnover, so with this superior team we'll have to limit those. I'm hoping we buckle down on defense of both Granger and Ford and continue to play SMART basketball. Last night the opening possessions were sloppy on our part, so we need to continue with our "good habits". I'm predicting a tight game, but still a win for the good guys.

(PS: Nice work Stereo!)

Cavs win by 10-15 if Granger go crazy....If not then the new blowout....

You probably are, we work real hard to make these game threads special. STEREO is one of the best out there at doing this. Just trying to make this site more unique then the next.

Thats the thing. When the game is going on. No one is going to see the first page thread. And in 3 weeks no one will remember it

Cavs- 92
Pacers- 89

Leading scorer for the cavs

Mo Williams... 27?

That's why we put it up early. Once the game starts, you're right, no one is checking out that first page.

However, it's there to be informative before the game happens. Its the same thing that Cavs.com does. Those of us on the game thread squad just like to jazz it up a bit add a few more interesting things.

You guys have to find me a replay of this. I won't be home to watch it on Friday so find me a replay!

If possible get one of those DVR's. You'll wonder how you've done without it. You can watch the complete game in about an hours time.

thanks stereo, i appreciate the game threads and the previews, i think it's cool.

this site is probably the best message board i have ever visited and posted on regularly, and the game threads are part of it.

Pacers will put up a fight in this one.
Too many tough games recently, they won't be able to finish.

Cavs 3-0 when Shake posts random video and makes it about Cavs

While STEREO is spot on in saying Indiana made the last matchup a track meet, they were also very spotty in the front court due to injuries. Now that Count Rasho is back in the paint, they have a defensive/rebounding true center getting minutes.

They will likely be much tougher in the half-court this time around.

According to Windhorst's Column on Thursday Night:

"Rookie forward J.J. Hickson did not practice on Thursday after he injured his back against the New York Knicks on Wednesday night. The injury is not believed to be serious; he got treatment with team athletic trainers and is questionable for the Pacers. There's a chance the Cavs could be cautious and rest him. If he's inactive, Lorenzen Wright will likely be activated and split his minutes with rookie Darnell Jackson."

I don't understand how Wright would play after he hasn't been active the past how many games. Why not just give them all to Darnell?

I have never understood MB when it comes to this. He used to do it all the time at the SG spot. Our guard rotation would be something like Snow Hughes Sasha and whoever would get the scrub minutes. Then if someone would get hurt, he would start a random guy like Shannon Brown who hasn't played in weeks instead of one of the guys coming off the bench. I guess he doesn't want to mess up the rotation, but that is stupid.

If Lorenzen plays over Darnell, I will be pretty pissed.

It depends on the situation Gimme Some Mo. If the game is tight you dont want to throw in an untested rookie. In saying that Jackson seems a pretty heady guy for a rook.

However I hope they both only get on the court due to another blowout. If its tight neither of them play barring injury / foul trouble.

I would like to see LeBron come out very aggressive defensively on Granger. Last game vs. Indiana I remember LeBron was rather lazy until Granger proved he was ready to play from the tip and started making plays and knocking down shots. LeBron has the defensive skills to shut down just about anyone and he certainly can shut down Granger if he puts his mind to it. Jump on them early with great defense against their main option and this game should be an easy enough win. Of course we can't allow a Laker-like collapse in the fourth, either, but we need to set the tone defensively early, and not allow Granger to get going.

Do you really want my prediction? :D

That cartoon makes me sick. This kind of "humor" doenst belong in a game thread in my opinion... :gtfo:
