Game 21: Cleveland Cavaliers (13-7) @ Oklahoma City Thunder (8-13) 8:00 P.M. EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Remember last year when LeBron sat @ Portland, and Bosh hit a three in the final seconds to win it, and LeBron went nuts? Last year, I wanted to puke when that happened.

This year, I'll go ape when Love does the same thing.

Rest him. This game is pretty meaningless in the long run.

Irving, Love, and Waiters will do just fine.

Back-to-back on the road, i'd rest him if it's sore...i might rest him if it's not. It's a long season. It may be too early, but Blatt should follow Pop and get these guys some rest here and there even when healthy. It's all about the postseason.
Agreed. But anyone following bron for awhile can see he's taking it easy for spurts during the game to compensate.

If they can learn to win without him, it will just help the team long term.

Need to rest LeBron for sure. Our offense will be fine without him. Not sure about the defense. It's not worth it either way.

I wouldn't mind resting LeBron against a lesser team, but I don't really want to against the Thunder during an important winning streak. Not unless it is absolutely necessary.

Our SF depth is hurting right now the way it is with Mike Miller out. Joe Harris and James Jones are going to have to play some important minutes. Either one will get torched by KD. The fact Dion is playing well would be a helping factor in advocating that LeBron take the night off. I guess I'd go with a starting line up of Kyrie, Dion, Marion, Love, Andy. But Kyrie and Love would have to have big games.

Rest him tomorrow if need be. It's going to be hard beating the Thunder without. We may do damage offensively but defensively I worry. Marion will draw the assignment on KD... Don't want to see Bron on him really at all.

And I don't blame Kyrie. Love basically saying everyone else will have to really show up... Kyrie not even trying to entertain the thought. He wants Bron in the lineup and he wants a win!

If they are going to rest LeBron, I'd prefer it be tomorrow. That would give him an opportunity to rest for three consecutive days before the home game against the Hornets. The Hornets are so bad I'd almost consider resting him for that game as well. But not tonight.

The win streak is cool and all, but how many win streaks did we have with Lebron last time? A lot.. Long ones.. And look where that got us.

Seems like we will rest him, and hopefully we will. The whole "knee soreness" thing is thrown out there by the team so that we don't look like assholes giving him games off.

The idea that they would use knee soreness as an excuse to rest him against one of the most difficult games of the year is completely far-fetched.

Plus, why even lie about it?

Resting LeBron is important now no matter the competition. Whether people want to admit it or not, he's older. This is going to be in play especially since he's still logging major minutes and we just have to get used to it.

LeBron James has played 128 games and approaching 10,000 more minutes than Dwyane Wade who now has french fries for legs.

This team winning without LeBron on some nights is a good thing and builds chemistry.

Would likely give Dion a chance to shine a bit more if Bron is out as well. Something to consider.
