Game 22 | Cavs (13-8) @ New Orleans (10-11) | December 12th, 2014 | 8pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
To allow 56% from the floor and 43% beyond the arc to a Davis-less Pelicans....

Ryan Anderson... the guy that shot 26% from three since the last time we played...

Sigh.

Onto the next one! Everything will be okay. Still bumps to smooth out.

Two pelicans get 30 plus..without davis is embarrassing

No. It is 22 games. More than 1/4 of a season. This team is scaring me and a lot of disturbing trends are becoming evident.

This team thinks they can lolly-gag around for 3 quarters and turn it on late. It's embarrassing and I am seriously afraid of what will happen when we get in a playoff series.
You made a few points, it's only 1/4 of the season in, this team is still coming together. We just won 8 straight with an average margin of 15 points.
This was 4th game in 5 nights. We played a bad game and NO played a great one. Winning on the road, is hard in the NBA.

A 5 game home stand coming up..only tough game is memphis.

This is where we get back on track.

It's easy to make shots when we don't defend. We gave him a lot of space and we weren't physical with him.

If there is one thing I learned from Lebron's first stint in cleveland: regular season does not mean a thing.

Still, you can start to notice some trends going on. I am just trying to project forward to when things do matter. In the post-season.

I'm not going to crown them even if they do get to 20-9 ( they won't btw, if you want to bet on that?).

This team's attitude and defensive ability after 22 games concerns me. I think that they think it is only necessary to put in full effort 1/4 of the time. I am just worried that the post-season is going to be a serious wake-up call for these guys.

well IMO they go 7-0 or 6-1 the next 7.. either one has them with a respectable record.. also you are damn right the regular season doesn't mean anything which is why I get a kick out of most of these game threads.. 1.this team will have a few key pieces added by April and 2. effort has been this teams only problem at times.. they just ran off a win streak where they held teams to 90 ppg and locked numerous teams up to less then 40 pts in a half...JMO but no way in hell will this team lack effort in a playoff game.. we will have home court and despite our early season struggles at home that place will be rocking and this team will be defending well IMO...last night was the first game in the last 10 where our D wasn't that great and if you noticed despite his great offense LBJ's D on Evans was bad and his overall D effort was bad and unfortunately his teammates still follow his lead on D and didn't step their game up on their own last night.. I mean we did pretty well vs OKC on D and held Toronto 8 pts below their season avg and to 36 pts in the 2nd half... we can indeed play D when the effort was there...we will add a big man..there is no doubt in my mind..also even if we don't I can guarantee that Haywood will get minutes in the playoffs if need be and he can still clog up the paint .. it's a process and IMO it is obvious if the effort is there this team can win it all still

I agree with you on most points, but the D against OKC was bad,
we couldn't stop Westbrook at all, he could have scored 50 on us, we need to find a way to limit those kind of players and just clsoe the lane and paint somehow and when they do get to the paint alter the shots atleast or challenge, it seems too easy at times.
I have no worry ot concern in our offense and I know it will continue to improve.
