Game 22 | Cavs (13-8) @ New Orleans (10-11) | December 12th, 2014 | 8pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
everyone keeps saying how horrible horrble the pelicans are without davis yet aAnderson shot 8-14 from three point land and are 7-2 at home with the 6th ranked offense in the NBA.

I dont care if it was the 76ers. it was one loss on the road. Cavs just came off an 8 game win streak. its not the end of the world the team is still a work in progress.

Absolutely.

But what this game also shows is the weakness which has been there since the start. Blatt and co have to iron it out first.

odd I was more concerned about the Cavs performance against OKC without lebron than this garbage tonight.

We did after all beat NO at home with Davis.

Team plays like crap they will lose. doesnt matter who is or isnt on the other side

7 games from now we will be 20-9 and people will be crowning us.. sports fans are usually 1 extreme or the other.. never in the middle

Right, but I'm done getting my hopes up when we play like this.

Pelicans, without Davis, just beat our asses down.

Lebron shoots 70% and had an unbelievable game. We waste that and let Luke Babbitt, Tyreke Evans, and Ryan Motherfucking Anderson beat us down?

You all can stay optimistic and I know it was the fourth game in five nights. But we are past the quarter-pole in this season.

This team will not win anything as currently constructed. We will be lucky to get out of the east. Irving and Love have never played a meaningful game in their lives. We are a small team that gets physically beat down night after night.

I am scared for the next couple years. I am just now realizing and understanding how tragically flawed we actually are as a team.

Long way to go.

Everybody knew before the season started that we were 1-2 pieces way from a championship roster, its pointless to say the same thing over and over again after every single loss.

We suck against any good semi-decent western conference team. We need another athletic wing and a big man that's been said a million times already on here.

Okay, I personally felt that we would be able to win with this roster earlier in the season. I thought we were better than those teams in Miami that won championships. Those teams also had some glaring holes.

I still think we could, but Irving and Love will have to grow up fast. At this point. 1/4 through the season, I'm starting to worry a lot.

I'm just realizing after 22 games that some (not all) of the people who were saying we aren't there yet personnel-wise, may have been right all along.

Shoot, give Alex Kirk a shot. It really wouldn't hurt to move the TPE for a Brewer-like player either.

If there is one thing I learned from Lebron's first stint in cleveland: regular season does not mean a thing.

Still, you can start to notice some trends going on. I am just trying to project forward to when things do matter. In the post-season.

I'm not going to crown them even if they do get to 20-9 ( they won't btw, if you want to bet on that?).

This team's attitude and defensive ability after 22 games concerns me. I think that they think it is only necessary to put in full effort 1/4 of the time. I am just worried that the post-season is going to be a serious wake-up call for these guys.

God this board is ridiculous/predictable.

Win 8 in a row and we cant stop talking about how good we are.

Lose 2 and 'we're a disaster'.

Maybe there's a middle ground you bunch of silly jerks.

I seriously don't care about anything except for post-season success. Why did Lebron leave the first time? We were winning 60+ games in the regular season then. That obviously doesn't matter and I recognize this fact.

So please don't quote me and try and act like I am saying something that I am not.

This is all about how this team projects moving forward. I'm just warning people not to get there hopes up so much.

silly dudes

we haven't been through adversity levels 2 3 and 4

we've only gone through 1

settle down people me and the other new arrival winners will show you losers how its done

Facts:

-We played like shit tonight.
-Regular season does not matter.
-We are going to win a lot more games this season.

My opinion:

-There is obviously a lot of time left in the season, but I think we are behind schedule at this point.

And. one thing I've learned is that there is no on/off switch in sports. So seeing this team sleep-walk at times is discouraging to me. It will not fly in the playoffs.

They obviously can overcome, but we have a long way to go.

I'm excited to watch and find out because first and foremost, I am a fan and supporter.

You aren't specifically the issue, bc you"get it", but the posters who don't are coming and I wanted to nip it in the bud and y put things in perspective proactively.

We'll be fine getting into the finals(sans Toronto), but we are not ready for the west.

Now thank my post so it isn't wasted. :)

The team is still experimenting with the lineup. Blatt is starting AV but Thompson is getting the minutes. the Love/Thompson/AV rotation is a work in progress.

Marion isnt gonna start at the 2 all year.

Harris/ Delladova, Jones and Miller when he is healthy are all getting looked at.

THey are playing with a variety of small ball lineups.

Irving although his Assist has increased and his defensive effort has dramatcally improved still has plenty of room for Growth.

Lebron still hasnt decided what rle he wants to commit to.

Love is still adapting from being the centerpiece of a team.

Alot of things the Cavs need to work out that personnel changes are not gonna address.

Ignoring 44% 3 point shooting night for the opposing teaam isnt going to do any team favors defensively in the pain. especially if your pulling a big man out to the perimeter.

its one thing to be critical. Cavs played lousy tonight but the gloom and doom dramatics is almost as unbearable as the Cavs looked defensively tonight.

We need more athletes with length, who are young and can finish. On the wing and in the post. Currently I think only TT and maybe Dion fit that bill.

The lot of Av, Delly, Harris, Marion, Miller, etc just won't cut it.

Ryan Anderson is just ridiculous against us. He is like Larry Bird reborn when he sees the Cavs on the schedule.

At least Lebron looked a bit more like his normal self and Irving showed some signs late.
