Game 22 | Cavs (13-8) @ New Orleans (10-11) | December 12th, 2014 | 8pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Everyone outside of LeBron played like absolute garbage. This game pisses me off. Can't beat the Pelicans without Davis while LeBron has a monster game? Our defense was so horrid.

Wasn't able to watch, but my first impression upon looking at the box score is:

Unibrow only plays 7 minutes, and we get worked by Ryan Anderson, Tyreke Evans, and Jrue Holiday? Nice players, but not quite the match of our supposed Big 3...

Watching the cavs this year has essentially been a game of "Which scrub (or scrubs) is going to have a career night". It's getting ridiculous.

I get that Haywood is old and provides nothing on offense but for gods sake why the hell is he not at least thrown out there one game when we are getting man handled inside every single game.

I cant believe lLove didnt draw a single foul in 2 and a half quarters

Didn't really have the ball. Despite James making everything, the third quarter offense wasn't good at all. Love with a few more touches, drawing fouls and slowing the game might have helped but probably not with defense that terrible. Still, we wind up ignoring a guy who can score 30 on this team and get shots for Andy, Marion, etc.

Love Delly but he wasn't effective at all--those open threes missed really hurt. Wish JJ had made those threes in last night's game.

Pelicans without Davis are terrible EVERYONE goes on huge runs against them when he's out. I knew we were in trouble when Davis went out and we had James and Love out there and couldn't get a lead.

Nothing new but we need a center and a wing who can defend and shoot. Fucking sucks that KJ McDaniels was taken one pick before Harris. We can really make something of this team using Haywood's contract, the MLE, and our pick but it's going to be tough to get the pieces we need this year. Our defense against Toronto and NO was shockingly bad.

People acting like the Cavs just didn't have four games in five days. 2-2 is not that bad for tough road trip. No chill.

4th game in 5 nights Irving was obviously not right. And the pel. Were hitting tough shots. Anderson took a step back 3 pointer and drained it. Cavs played tired.

Keep making excuses. But we are 13-9 and I'm afraid regressing and not improving.

How are we 25% into the season with the defense looking this bad?

I hate to be so negative but I'm just realizing that I need to temper my expectations or I'm gonna get burnt this season.

Ugh, 0-2 on the road trip.

Right, but I'm done getting my hopes up when we play like this.

Pelicans, without Davis, just beat our asses down.

Lebron shoots 70% and had an unbelievable game. We waste that and let Luke Babbitt, Tyreke Evans, and Ryan Motherfucking Anderson beat us down?

You all can stay optimistic and I know it was the fourth game in five nights. But we are past the quarter-pole in this season.

This team will not win anything as currently constructed. We will be lucky to get out of the east. Irving and Love have never played a meaningful game in their lives. We are a small team that gets physically beat down night after night.

I am scared for the next couple years. I am just now realizing and understanding how tragically flawed we actually are as a team.

Long way to go.
Ok it isnt this bad lol

We need a couple new players thats it. Marion is useless, Andy getting paid 10 mil is highway robbery and at this rate he should give half his check back since hes cut out half of his game and forgot how to play defense. Waiters useless unless hes shooting 50% from the field.

The only players doing enough i think are Kyrie, Love, LeBron, Thompson, Delly and Jones. They are doing their jobs

so the Pelicans are 7-2 at home now. Wonder if the team went to the wrong cajun restaurant

I wouldn't even be pissed off if we had lost this game ugly. It can easily be chalked up as a schedule loss but for god's sake not a single person played above average defense on anyone anywhere on the court.

Play defense and lose the game because your legs are tired and you can't make shots. I'd be far less angry if that would have been the case.

everyone keeps saying how horrible horrble the pelicans are without davis yet aAnderson shot 8-14 from three point land and are 7-2 at home with the 6th ranked offense in the NBA.

I dont care if it was the 76ers. it was one loss on the road. Cavs just came off an 8 game win streak. its not the end of the world the team is still a work in progress.

So do you think we can win a title with this team? The perimeter defense is awful and we don't have a guy inside who even attempts to alter shots down low. It is so awful to watch. Love doesn't even try. It seems like he is oblivious to players coming into the paint. It makes me sick.

We might as well just bring an athletic wing like Brewer and run the Heat defense. Gambling 100% and really pressuring ball handlers. Trying to force steals.

I am just saying this: with this current roster, it will be extremely difficult to even win the East.

Atrocious Defense.

Kyrie having an off night in offense didn't help but when LeBron goes for over 40 and you lose against a Pelicans side without AD, its not acceptable. You need to have that ruthless mentality and look to kill the teams off early. That phase in the first quarter when AD had gone off and Holiday was out with two fouls, that was the time to get the shit together and extend the lead. That would have been a blow to the Pelicans. Instead the team relaxed after it and that gave confidence to the other role players of Pelicans. Its a talented bunch of guys but the team still has a LOT to learn. They need to play and defend as a team much better. Just getting a good rim-protector and a good 3 & D guy won't solve all the issues. The first improvement has to come from within.
