Anyone saying that Kyrie doesn't give a shit really needs to step back and think before they type.
We're talking about the same guy that just a few days ago dropped 39 points while puking into a garbage can on the sideline. We're talking about the same guy that just dropped 40 points on 50% shooting. One could make that argument in the beginning of the season, but ever since the goose egg he posted against Atlanta earlier this season, there's no question in my mind that he's giving the effort each and every night.
It's clear to me, at least, that he doesn't have a whole lot of faith in his teammates and thinks that he needs to take over the game whenever it's close. Looking at some of the players that he has to work with right now, I honestly can't say I 100% blame him for feeling that way, either. Should he have given the ball up some more to Waiters or Thompson in OT? Certainly. They were both having great games and scoring the ball well.
This was a team loss, as far as I'm concerned. Just about everyone made some stupid mistakes tonight at one point or another, whether it was Jack's inexplicable free throw misses when he normally hits 88%, or Kyrie's penchant for unforced turnovers in crunch time.
