Game 3 | Cavs (1-1) @ Trail Blazers (1-2) | November 4, 2014 | 10pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If we rebound the way we did against Chicago, we will win. This team as it us built, has at least 3 guys who are capable of hitting 10 rebounds a game, and possibly LeBron could be a fourth. If Love improves his defensive awareness, Aldridge won't have any easy looks.

Lillard is going to light us up, I expect LeBron will play on him towards the end of the game.

Luckily we're catching Lillard in the midst of a shooting funk. Feel like we'll be fine if we can keep Aldridge under 30.

Damian Lillard is listed as probable for tomorrow night.

I watched the Blazers - Warriors game from yesterday. My take on our game with the Blazers:

Irving = Lillard (Lillard in slump so may have advantage)
Waiters = Matthews
Varajeo = Lopez (even hairwise, thair a toss up)
Love = Aldridge
James >> Batum

Cavs Bench > Blazers Bench

Cavs win 105 - 90.

i am more wary with lillard/curry than the athletic pointguards because they can shoot the lights out and win games just by making enough 3's.

with the cavs struggling with their defense i feel the trailblazers will get their groove back offensively.

offensively, i just want to see the cavs move the ball and not get stuck with lbj or kyrie, maximize love's post game and pick n roll options.

i also think it is best to start miller this game and put waiters on the bench since matthews is a spot up shooter which miller can adequately defend.

hoping for a win.

He's also one of the best post up shooting guards in the league

I think he's underrated offensively

I've seen nothing from Miller in pre-season or now that would put him ahead of Waiters to start...neither defense nor offense.

Tough to see Portland losing 3 in a row.

Will be a close game though and certainly fun to watch.

dont wanna wait till 10 for this :(

but the cavs play tonight so thats all that matters

Let's see if Love and Waiters have found their shooting touch. We know the rebounding will keep us in the game and it will be a hostile environment. Let's hope Bron is aggressive. If we shoot well, no reason we don't win. Will be interested in seeing the rotation tonight.

I worry Love won't be able to stop Aldridge defensively. On the other end, Love could light him up, but has been shooting poorly / doesn't seem to know his spots in the new offense yet, so let's hope he gets it going.

Bottom line, these individual comparisons don't matter much until we get the offense flowing smoothly, because talents function differently when they are operating in their role vs when they are confused about it.

Agree that rebounding should be a major advantage for us, that's one area where things seem to be going as planned.

Three more days of practice between the last game and this one certainly shouldn't hurt us.

tough one tonight.lillard has been poor so far. he could be due a big night

Would be good to see some of the bench guys like Miller start to emerge a bit. I thought Marion gave some good minutes against CHI, feels like we need a spark from the wing offensively off the bench and Miller knocking down some 3's would be a welcome sign.

i don't know about that one. Matthews is one of the more underrated players in the league, imo he's one of the best two-way SGs in the entire NBA. in fact he's someone Dion should try to emulate
