Game: 31| Cavs @ Heat | Tues, Dec. 30th 7:30pm [et]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't care what my knowledgeable good buddy Karma claims, Sasha isn't cut out for the role Wally has played as the 3/4 when LeBron impersonates a power forward. He is a perimeter player without any defensive instincts for the post. Offensively he is the perimeter equivalent of Darko in the post, for better or worse.
:pissed:

Dont try and butter me up and then go on a rampage on the Phenomenom!

:chuckles:

It will be great to see if the coaching staff (notice not just mike brown) can make adjustments to these two key aspects.

The heat defense is very much a run and jump, yes they shrink the floor a little but they love to show an aggressive double team, this lead to about 4 turnovers for the cavs last game. They also anticipate the cavs making the extra pass to the opposite wing and close out there faster than on the initial pass, using the cavs unselfishness against them.

Secondly on the cavs defensive end there were times when the bigs handled the wade pick and roll well, using a number of clever rotations, but they were just a bit slow in the secondary rotations which gave up a few too many layups

Usually the losing team has an advantage by making the neccessary adjustments. However there were many flaws in our own game that could be improved big time that I doubt that adavntage is anything significant. Really need to bring that energy early in Miami or those comebacks may be a little tough. Just ask the Lakers.

Oh they'll be up for this game ...
Hopefully we've made the adjustments..they'll come out strong and the key is controlling Wade...we need to pound the ball inside..and give Ben some easy baskets ..
Z needs to get his touches..

What's our record on Lebron's birthday?

By my own unofficial count we are 0-2 on December 30, losing to the Bulls 92-89 in LBJ's rookie year and then 103-96 to the Bulls again two years ago.

If we are talking "hangover" games (i.e. the next game after LBJ's birthday) we are 4-1 in the LeBron era, with impressive wins over Detroit and San Antonio.

We're due for a damn win on LBJ's birthday. With so many areas to improve on from last game (shooting; getting Z involved on offense; stronger defensive efforts the first 3 quarters; Z and Boobie coming back from injuries), I think we can pull out the win despite playing at Miami in a back-to-back between us.

Let's see... The game is on Miami. It's LeBron's birthday. Bad combination right there. :shakehead

Gotta love the home-to-home games against the same teams this year, beat them and make them hungry in time for 2 nights later.

Come out mean: The last 2 games, the Cavs have seemed lackadaisical, and at least with Miami, seemed to be out hustled until the 4th quarter. Hit them hard, hit them early, and don't let up.

Battle on the Boards: Thanks to a last second tip drill sequence, we barely moved pass Miami in rebounding the last game. This time, if played well, we should win by around 5 boards, more towards 10 hopefully.

Person I'd like to see step up: Sasha (Though, we've been waiting for him to do this what, 3 years, 4 years now?), to play defense on Wade, so Tenacious D doesn't break his back trying to fend off Wade.

LeBron's main party isn't until tonight after the game though at a place called Karu & Y

Sadly though, you booked male strippers.

Can anyone provide me with a concise definition of "ultralounge"?

Specifically, in what ways is an ultralounge different than a run-of-the-mill lounge.

In what ways does an ultralounge materially differ from a night club?

I always thought "ultralounge" was a subtle way of saying "gay bar"....

Offensivelly, I hope our outside shooters and especially Lebron don't settle for too much jump shots. Lets drive to the hoop and get some And1 with the vertically challenged big men of Miami. Defensively, I would say mix it up with Wade. Whatever we do, just pack the paint and don't let him drive it to the rim. He can take all the contested mid range jump shots he wants. Also, I don't mind Beasley and Haslem taking jump shots. It's not like they're Rip Hamilton.....
